  1. ha, today I read "argentinian record for 3000m broken" and I got excited. Then I saw the new record is 9:42 and we should put higher standars in all athletics events.
  2. Bowl Quarterfinals (9-16): Russia - Canada England - Wales United States - Portugal Scotland - Brazil Cup Quarterfinals (1-8): New Zealand - Argentina South Africa - Samoa France - Kenya Fiji - Australia

  4. Probably Kosovo will go into the group of Croatia and Gibraltar to the group of Belgium. That way all groups will have equal number of teams and it won't be necessary to exclude results vs the bottom teams for second placed teams table.
  5. I caught some of the rugby sevens, and now will try to watch as much as I can of women's volleyball without sleeping too late (I have to wake up early tomorrow ).
  6. Paris Sevens (Stage 9/10) Day 1 Results Pool A: Kenya 29 - 14 Portugal New Zealand 35 - 10 Russia Pool B: Fiji 38 - 12 Scotland Samoa 52 - 10 Wales Pool C: South Africa 24 - 5 England Australia 38 - 0 Brazil Pool D: Argentina 36 - 0 United States France 42 - 5 Canada
  7. Paris sevens started today, our team luckily is with two super rugby players Moroni and Cordero who help increase the level. The results already showing: 36-0 to USA Anyway for me the greatest news is that Juan Imhoff will play in London Stage and probably olympics too. He's probably the best argentine winger in history we could use his help too.
  8. And he made a good time, he could be top 16 in Rio with that. He seems to be the only male swimmer in form unfortunately, all others Grabich, Grassi, etc are doing bad this year. In other news Lucenti lost places in ranking and it seems we'll have only 2 judocas in Rio this sport is a disaster, I think in Tokyo we could be without any representation after Pareto and Lucenti retire. I read that the federation doesn't even have a Facebook page
  9. I can't believe it She was the best of the night for me. Also, Greece doesn't make the final for the first time?
  10. Songs that get my approval seal in semi1: Czech, Cyprus, Austria, Iceland. I hope they can all pass.
  11. Malta ---> more cliché for the pile.
  12. Balcan ballads perform well usually (but not always). Bosnia could pass,
  13. nice song and choreo/visuals. First song that does the combo for me this night.
  14. Montenegro not that bad (not great either). I'm surprised they got so much negative comments prior, from them I thought it was going to be something like that euro neuro guy some years ago.
  15. Azerbaijan hot girl and nothing more. Same artificial cliche song as every year.
  16. Czech fine Cyprus, finally something different from the general tone (and decent).
  17. nah, the only original thing was the old ladies, the rest is always the same artificial ballad or pop song.
  18. Russia is like Azerbaijan, every year the same song, only variation is the gender of the singer. Yes, nice effects, we can notice you want to win so much.... zzzz.... Even the name of the song sounds average, I wonder how many are registered with the same name.
  19. I hadn't listened to any song before today. Everything so far an embarassment. Netherlands had a "decent" tune, but the performance of the guy ruined it for me. Armenia is trying too hard with the performance and the visual effects, but the song is average at best. Sigh... all trash.
  20. So, there will be one thread and not two for each team sport?
  21. IMO Taekwondo shouldn't give wild cards at all given it only has 16 people per category. Diving doesn't give any and they have more quota.
  22. Argentina squad for World League (and sort of long squad for olympics): Setters: Luciano de Cecco, Nicolás Uriarte, Demian Gonzalez Opposites: Bruno Lima, Javier Vega, Cristian Poglajen OH: Facundo Conte, Rodrigo Quiroga, Ezequiel Palacios, Lisandro Zanotti, Nicolás Bruno, Jan Martínez, Nicolás Lazo Middle Blockers: Sebastián Solé, Martin Ramos, Pablo Crer, Facundo Imhoff, Joaquin Gallego Liberos: Alexis Gonzalez, Facundo Santucci, Sebastian Closter SO happy to see many players from junior/youth teams and not the usual weak old people
  23. Return leg results and aggregate scores of Copa Libertadores Round of 16: (4) Atlético Nacional 4 - 2 Huracán (2) (4) Rosario Central 3 - 0 Gremio (0) (2) Atlético Mineiro 2 - 1 Racing Club (1) (3) Toluca 3 - 1 Sao Paulo (5) (2) Pumas 2 - 0 Deportivo Tachira (1) (1) River Plate 1 - 0 Independiente del Valle (2) (2) Corinthians 2 - 2 Nacional (2+) (5) Boca Juniors 3 - 1 Cerro Porteño (2) Quarterfinals: Rosario Central - Atlético Nacional Sao Paulo - Atlético Mineiro Independiente del Valle - Pumas Nacional - Boca Juniors
