I used to host trivia at a local pub and the crowd would groan every time I did an Olympic category (but they loved my World Cup themed trivias). I'm currently making one for my work in a few months (I do those annoying team building activities). Damn right there's an Olympic part for the Paris Games included. 

Updating how many quotas each country guarantees.
 
 
The qualification document indicates that each team can take 5 athletes on their gender relay and 4 athletes on their mixed relay
athletes with individual quota MUST participate in the M and F 4x100m and 4x400m, but it doesn't say anything regarding the mixed 4x400m (or I haven't found)
 
So I'm counting it as 5 (and 2 men and 2 women on the mixed relay), but obviously they could pick someone from 200m, 800m, 400m hurdles, etc.

(AFTER DAY 2)
120 female quotas (55 on 4x100m, 56 on 4x400, 9 on the mixed relay)
120 male quotas (58 on 4x100, 51 on 4x400, 11 on the mixed relay)
 
wow, it was 50%-50% if my math is right. Obviously, in the end, many if not most of these quotas will come through new EST or  individual ranking.

yes you have to start with 4 quotas (and deduct if they already have any that have the minimums for 100 and 400 m)! I will choose this calculation method as well

it depends on your definition of refugee
 
there are something like ~4 millions Afghans living in Iran and he is one of them. most probably even born here. so technically yes he is a refugee, he lives in another country (with no intention of moving back to AFG) but he has an Afghan passport and represented Afghanistan internationally until few months ago.
 
the situation changes in Afghanistan month by month, one day he can say OK I want to represent my homeland, another day he can say oh no I'm still a refugee.

Rower PAVEL SVOJANOVSKÝ passed away suddenly during handing over the prices after competition. Olympic medalist from 1976, 1980. While getting of the podium, he missed a step, ascended into a void and bumped his head. Ambulance was there in 5 minutes but could not help him. Amazing person, involved in projects of developing Czech Olympic hopes and very well respected person in Czech sports field. Such a tragedy. R.I.P. Mr. SVOJANOVSKÝ 😭😭😭😭

16 yo  rower Achilleas Monastiriotis died in a car accident on his home island of Corfu, he previously was in training camp with our national team and was the national champion U14 in indoor rowing a few years ago.
