  1. I don’t remember if the numbers were already, but from their Facebook pages: - 29 - 91 - 87
  2. Exactly. Sadly, both the president of the Mexican NOC and the state director for Sport, both former Olympians, are just there to get the spotlight and steal public funds, which in the case of the latter (Ana Guevara) are for hundreds of millions. I should have tripped her 12 years ago at the Panamerican Athletics Stadium when I encountered her in the upper stand.
  3. Accirding to the idiotic version of the Mexican Tennis Federation, who has done nothing other than build crappy stadiums at beach resorts, the female players are to blame because they didn’t clarify being available to play. Of course no serious journalist bought this crap, and they are receiving a lot of questioning and hate from the Mexican tennis comunity.
  4. According to this article, Mexico is sending with 638 competitors, a number a little high for me and that must include the coaches and staff, but if true, then our biggest delegation ever on foreign soil.
  5. Meaning every other sport will be reduced to 12 entries per event.
  6. Though luck for Mexican men getting in the same pool as the hosts, but if women don’t qualify first in that joke of pool, then the Mexican federation should be dissolved.
  7. MEXICO With a little delay here's Mexico's selection for this year contest. With a career spanning almost 30 years, Julieta Venegas is one of most recognizable female rock/pop singers, being nominated 4 times to the Grammy Awards and winning once in 2007 for Best Latin Pop album with "Limón y Sal", and from it, this nice collaboration with Chilean rapper, and former TISC participant, Ana Tijoux: Julieta Venegas ft. Ana Tijoux - Eres para Mí ("You're for Me") Lyrics in Spanish English translation
  8. @Olympian1010 if there’s no inconvenience with you, or the rest of the participants, could I post my entry early on Saturday morning? I’m on a tight schedule tonight and tomorrow, but I already made mi pick (and the substitute as well, in case there’s an objection by other jury). Thank you
  9. As far as I understand, no. Athletes winning a spot in a specific apparatus, can compete in all around though.
  10. I would have like Mexican women to qualify for the team event, but they had a disaster rotation on beam, and many costly mistakes on floor, so int he end 2 quotas don’t look bad. edit: Depending on other results, Mexico may get a third quota with Athziri Sandoval being just under the line in both Vault and Bars.
  11. They need Brazil, USA and Mexico to grab the team quotas at Panam Games.
  12. And the “let’s award gold to Simone Biles show on her comeback” just started
  13. Wow, and suddenly Mexico could be in Paris unless both Brazil and USA fail at Panams alongisde them.
  14. Good level of Mexican girls in the last competition before Worlds. If they are mentally strong, they could challenge for the 12th spot
  15. Not on this edition, but would like to be consider for either edition next year.
  16. Oh come on! England was the toughest rival IMO, so the team should be able to concentrate in defeating the “weak” Chilean and Samoan squads, and go for a decider against Japan.
  17. Quota for Mexico After missing Tokyo due to federation errors, our best male rower goes to the Olympics
  18. No, only photos at the Hungarian Gymnastics Federation FB page.
  19. A medal for Mexico, in a non Olympic event, but still one Congrats to Kenya Lechuga and I hope she can be selected for another boat class in the remaining qualifiers so she can compete at Paris.
  20. Well what can I say you caught me. Nah, I barely exercise myself these days, just a 3 k jog around my neighbourhood’s park. I couldn’t and wouldn’t try a marathon, probably a 5/10 k someday. I suspect those cheaters were mostly interested in taking a selfie or doing a live stream trough instagram, just like many people who go to the gym, do a couple of exercises and run 5 mins in the threadmill just to post about the “fit” lives.
  21. I’d say let that piece of shit rot there and serve as another relic in places people are year by year more reluctant to attend.
  22. Unless Hernandez finish in the podium at the Panam Games ahead of other Mexican athlete, in which case, this quota reverts to World Ranking.
  23. First individual medal for Mexico at World Championships And curiously, won by the younger brother of 2016 Olympic bronze medalist, Ismael Hernandez. Plus, this gives some margin for a second Mexican man to obtain a second quota at PanAm Games.
