  1. Results Women's Road Race from the Pan American Championships won the race; however they will most probably qualify through rankings, so might get the quota.
  2. I was hearing the finish of the Pan Am Championships woman's race when their crazy as hell dictator decided it was time to start spitting the delusional speeches he's used to give... How crazy this has been; few days ago the Championships were at risk because the host city doesn't have a functioning airport/airfield, so they had instructed teams to arrive to a Colombian city just across the border; however that particular border cross is closed because Venezuela's government has been acussing the Colombian authorities and civilians of taking advantage and illegally proffiting of the terrible shortage of goods the country has been suffering. Thus the organizers had to practically beg their authorities to temporarily open the border to the few shuttles they send to pick up the foreign delegations.
  3. Marcos Pulido avoided catastrophe Still one place is too little for Mexico in this discipline... I guess it's time to change the program; eight years ago they were almost at the same level of Canada and Cuba... now we can barely compete with them

  5. We are also in risk in badminton, but i guess reallocation will made it possible to qualify in Men's singles
  6. What a shame for Mexico in this qualifier... now I guess canoeing along with tennis will be the only individual sports in which the country don't have a competitor.
  7. Source? In that case, reallocation would give places in women's to and ; I suspect the Swiss NOC might not accept the reallocation, and in this case place should go to :who in turn might reject it and then would get the spot. I'm crossing fingers for Australia to reject their spot in either men's or men's doubles, so Liño Muñoz can qualify

  9. For those interested, here's the page of the Pan American Championships. Time Trial for men, men U23 and women will be today. Men U23 and women will race again on saturday, and men on sunday, with both women events awarding points for UCI ranking and the individual road race giving the winner a direct spot in Rio.
  10. I request a swap, however I think all other countries eligible for swap shall take precedence. Also, (and of course, if it works for you) you could also reduce the voting times from 15 to 10 minutes... in my previous experience, if the jury will be on their specific time, if they indeed are not busy.
  11. So Dutch NOC will reject Caelers place? So sad for her, she really gave a good race in Yokohama... on the other hand that means the spot will be reallocated to Mexico.
  12. Woohoo It will be difficult for her to repeat her performance from Beijing, but I hope she can at least make the first cut.
  13. According to this article (in Spanish), China has named its preliminary teams and, with the exception of Zhang Chenlong (men's), every other medalist in London has been left out.
  14. selected its three women for the Games: Morghan King (48kg), Jenny Arthur (75kg) and Sarah Robles (75+ kg)
  15. Yes, IAA's period goes so far, but Mexican federation has its own criteria and choose June 5th as the deadline to achieve the mark.
  16. 2013 Bronze Medalist Luis Rivera fell short of the required distance by just one centimeter , now he only have 3 weeks to achieve that mark.
  17. As long as they post the results on time, I don't mind the rest
  18. Start lists for Pan American Championships & Qualification I'll dare to post my predictions, but I hope any other user (especially the Canadians) can give some more insight: Men C2: For me, it will be the spot should go either to Cuba or Mexico, since we are sending our best rowers in this boat, but I can count out the Canadians. Men K1 1000m: It will be shock if Van Koeverden does not get the place, Men C1 1000m: I doubt Oldershaw can lose this race. Women K1 500m: With Canada out of contention for this particular quota, Argentina and USA should go for it. Men K2 1000m: Cuba is the favorite, but Mexico or Argentina have slim chances to spoil it. Women K2 500m: This is the only event in which I see Mexico as the top contender, but they should watch for Canada. Men C1 200m: If Cuba and Canada secure quotas in the other two events, then this could be USA best option to have a competitor in Rio. Women K1 200m: An open race, but I'll go with Venezuela. Men K1 200m: Canada, Argentina and Ecuador can't go for the quota, and this event could go either way, the main contenders are Cuba, Brazil and USA. Men K2 200m: As Cuba shall obtain the place in 1000m, then this contest will be between Canada and Argentina.
  19. Another place for Mexico, Ricardo Vargas in 1500m Free 15:14.18 in Charlotte, today. Now we have 3 directly qualified athletes, instead of 1 like in London.
  20. Olympic rankings have been published. You can take the quotas as mostly definite, as the only remaining event is World Masters in two weeks, in which only the top 16 in World Ranking (not Olympic) participate along with one participant from host country (Mexico), and since a top 16 in World Ranking is likely already qualified and most Mexican judokas need to finish in the podium to grab the last direct place in qualification.
