  1. Deserved place for her... congratulations!
  2. Yes I noticed that... well someone inside FINA Diving Committee has just done a favor to Blaha, while I'm sure one place is missing in women's 3m, which should have gone to Croatia.

  4. I've gone trhough the web compiling the names of athletes already selected/named and those places already obtained and here's the list of how the final entry list might look like. I've already taken out those places already rejected by the Netherlands and Japan; athletes in bold are those who count for the maximum 34 per gender in each discipline (springboard or platform); those in italics have not been oficially confirmed or selected by their NOCS. Regarding South Korean Haram WOO he obtained individual places in both springboard and platform; I deduce that in orden to maintain the same number of divers in each one, FINA will count him in platform, even though it seems he will enter in both events. 5. Actually they will take it (source)
  6. Sadly I just finished making my calculations... Men's 3m springboard is the only event in which there's an overquota (35) considering divers directly qualified for the individual event and those only competing in synchro. Even I don't think Austrian Blaha might qualify...
  7. Actually you made it... I don't know why your Committee has not publiched anything yet, but she shall be in Rio.
  8. You're right I guess that was the reason behind the rule.
  9. First of all, I apologize for any offense my post may cause you. I acknowledge it's a little bit written in the moment, so it's entirely my fault. Howeve, even when I didn't see the fight, I read the comments from the national coach. He said that the Azeri boxer gave a good fight and its strategy was good; he said that in the first two rounds judges could have awarded the partial win to any of them. In the end, the local fighter did just enough to avoid any effective punch from its rival (a valid strategy) and in the end, that was the decisive factor. He was never critical of your boxer, but he was upset that this scoring system has some flaws and that ended the Mexican fighter chances.
  10. Mexico I believe the uniforms for the opening wer supossed to be from Ralph Lauren, but it may change.

  12. I think so too, but I'm still trying to count every athlete oficially nominated so far. Fingers crossed for Andrzej RZESZUTEK to compete; he's pretty good.
  13. seleted two athletes: to compete in Rio: Kathy Sealy (heptathlon) and Brandon Jones (Triple Jump). However, there's been some controversy(another article) over the nomination of Sealy. Kaina Martinez was closer to qualifying, winning this years Central American Championships 100m with a time of 11.56 (the closer a Belizean athlete came to making the qualification standard), in addition to help Belize win the 4x100m relay and earning a silver in 200m. On its part Jones won the Triple Jump with a 16.22m attempt (rather good considering the wind was -1.9) In my opinion, Martinez was screwed by its own people, and in case Belizean Committee didn't read qualification rules, Sealy is not eligible to compete in heptathlon under a universality place.
  14. NORCECA Continental Cup Finals Women v. and v. in semifinals; I think Cuba will beat Mexico for the spot. Men v. and v. It will be hard for any nation other than Canada to qualify here. CSV Continental Cup Finals Tournament is being played in the round robin format, with having a 3-0 record and in form to win the quota. In the men's, all appears the spot will be contested by and

  18. You must add to the number of athletes qualified in the individual event (3m springboard, 10m platform) the number of divers that will only compete in the corresponding synchro event ... after that if the number is less than 34 (or a selected athlete is competing in more than one event), then you start to add the reserve divers.
  19. Not really (it was geoblocked), only some comments... it was not an outright robbery, the fight could have been won by one of them, yet I think the local factor was decisive
  20. And as announced Azerbaijan got a complete team... their boxer beat Mexican boxer by three 29:28 scores... what a joke
  21. I'm glad that in the Pan American champions small Caribbean nations are making their debut, like and to name a few... so far, regular, expected results for Mexican competitors; let's see if they can add some medals in team competition.
  22. Finally, live results from PanAmerican Champions
