    Double medals for Italy. Amazing result, 3rd Gold of the games for China. They have won 2/2 Gold medals in shooting so far.

    Harmeet was not in a risk to say “good bye “ to Paris Olympics as he is also part of Men’s TT. Obviously it was a Men’s Singles event, even if he had lost that , he would have another event left in Paris.

    Only Preeti was in danger today apart from Tennis Men’s Doubles which was canceled. Harmeet is part of the TT team event.

    Ponappa/ Castro Lost 18-21, 10-21 against Korean pair. Expected. Good fight in 1st set by the girls.

    The best part is we have not lost any athletes today. Our contingent is still intact after Day 1. All our athletes won their KO matches. Apart from Sarabjot & 10M AR mixed team results, we had a very positive day.

    Sad for , couldn’t make it a hattrick of 🥇but this victory for is just the story this olympics needs . Its great for the nation to have a gold in one of the premier sport of your country on the 1st day itself.

    We didn’t play well. Sreejesh was immense , defensive mistakes could have costed us. But much needed win to start our group matches. This will give confidence to our players.

    Much deserved Gold for Smetov , after not winning a single 🥇in Tokyo has won a gold medal on the 1st day in Paris. Smetov can retire now as an Olympic champion.

    Good day so far in the badminton court for Won in Men’s Singles in straight sets & followed it up with win in Men’s Doubles. Our seeded Men’s Doubles pair of Satwik/ Chirag won against the French pair Corvee/Labar who got a last minute entry .

    I think Anna had started really poorly with a 90 series & followed it up with 93 & 94 she knew something was wrong & ahe won’t make it to the Final on the basis of her first 3 sets score, so might have retired from the qualification to focus on 25m AP event.
