  1. Not sure how accurate it is, but according to a SwimSwam commentator, Devin Heroux told them that McIntosh isn’t tapered.
  2. McIntosh 2:07.06 in the women’s 200m individual medley!! 2:07.68 PB for Pickrem as well!
  3. CANADIAN RECORD!!! 50.06 for Josh Liendo in the men’s 100m butterfly! 51.09 for Kharun, he’ll also swim the event individually.
  4. 25.06 for Oleksiak for in the women’s 50m freestyle! Ruck will get the nod in this event individually, having finished top 2 and having reached the OQT in the qualification period.
  5. I don’t think so. They said “Clareburt 2 and 1x Fairweather each”
  6. They said Clareburt 2, so I’m assuming they’re projecting two medals for him.. That’s fine if you don’t think McIntosh will medal, hopefully you’ll be proven wrong Don’t think she was tapered here though, she has no reason to.
  7. Benjamin Tessier with perfect 10s (120.00) on his 5th dive, but mistakes before put the Olympic spot out of reach for him. As expected, Nathan Zsombor-Murray qualifies individually for the Olympics.
  8. It’s not impossible, but Fairweather likely won’t be on the podium in the women’s 400m freestyle with Ledecky, McIntosh and Titmus. Same for Clareburt in the men’s 200m individual medley, with two Brits, Marchand, Shun, whoever qualifies for United States, and Knox all favored over him. McCartney in women’s pole vault also seems unlikely, she lacks the consistency to be one of the favourites. Caudery, Moon, Morris, Sutej, Kennedy, Murto, and maybe Newman are all over her.
  9. I knew you were an evil omen!!
  10. 10.19 for DeGrasse in the men’s 100m at the Rabat Diamond League. Not anything special, but it’s a good sign for the Olympics.
  11. Huge result for Prudence Sekgodiso in the women’s 800m, recording a new WL of 1:57.26! Another one to watch out for on the road to the Olympics
  12. Courtney Frerichs (athletics) 2020 Olympic silver medalist in women’s 3000m steeplechase. https://www.instagram.com/p/C7KZUiwOQSI/?igsh=OTdxejhpMnh6N3Rn
  13. TO THE OLYMPICS!! Congrats @rafalgorka @Adriano @rybak
  14. Well they almost did in 2022. They were only a few points shy. But yeah agree, that was one of the biggest disappointments besides maybe Brooks in surfing. I was rooting for Ware so she could get one last shot at the Olympics, and have a minuscule chance at a medal.
  15. Been waiting for this one… WOMEN’S 3x3 TEAM QUALIFIES FOR PARIS THROUGH THE OLYMPIC QUALIFYING TOURNAMENT!!
  16. Big upset here, neither Ware or Valee will be going to Paris Ware was actually in 1st for most of it, but scored a 45.00 on her 5th dive, which gave Erlam a 5 point lead, and she couldn’t make it up.
  17. Stoked, and slightly disappointed. Wish they wouldn’t have put themselves into this position to begin with.
  18. I’ve been following this squad since mid 2021, and have been cheering for them at the majority of the events that they’ve competed at since then, SO SO happy for them.
  19. CANADA IS GOING TO THE OLYMPICS!!!
  20. WE’VE DONE IT!! CANADA IS GOING TO THE OLYMPICSSSSSSSSS!!! In tears right now. For sure the greatest Canadian moment of the Olympic qualification period from my perspective.
