  1. Doesn’t look like will be winning a mixed doubles quota.
  2. Yulimar Rojas (athletics) Reigning Olympic Champion in women’s triple jump, reigning World Record holder, reigning 4x World Champion and widely considered as the best athlete all time in this event, but won’t be defending her title at Paris after suffering an achilles injury during training. Wide open for the gold medal now.
  3. Great to see smaller nations like competing
  4. https://fiba3x3.com/2024/uoqt1/games All matches will be streamed on the FIBA 3x3 YouTube channel
  5. Last bit of spam for now. Last Sunday, Evan Dunfee placed 2nd in men’s 20km at the Podebrady Race Walking meet, recording a time of 1:18.41! 37 seconds outside of his PB which was set at last years World Championships, so he’s looking to be in fine form at the moment.
  6. Michelle Li and Adam Dong/Nyl Yakura have officially qualified for Paris in women’s singles and men’s doubles respectively through the Olympic Rankings!
  7. That’s the amount of points counting towards the World Ranking. Not sure if it’s the same for the Olympic Ranking. Edit: Because according to that, Lindeman/Lee have qualified for the Olympics as of today, but I don’t see any posts on Badminton Canada’s Instagram announcing that.
  8. Kevin Lee/Ty Lindeman were the #2 seeds in men’s doubles (1,800 points back of an Olympic quota, and a tournament win plus a semifinal finish for Dong/Yakura would’ve been enough to overtake them I’m pretty sure), and bowed out during the round of 16. So no, not all of our top players are still alive.
  9. Can someone explain to me how many Olympic ranking points are awarded at Super 300 tournaments? Can’t seem to find it anywhere @JoshMartini007 @Laraja
  10. Kharun in the 1:58s in the men’s 200m butterfly at the TYR Pro Swim Series in San Antonio. Pretty bad swim from him.
  11. Floodgates are starting to settle in, as Bourbonnais scores less than a minute later! up 5-1 over
  12. Spooner scores, and that’s essentially game with only six minutes to go. lead 4-1 over now.
  13. up 3-1 over after the 2nd period. One more to go!
  14. 53.90 for McIntosh in the women’s 100m freestyle! New PB by about half a second! MacNeil in second with a 54.01, MSH in third with a 54.27, and Oleksiak in fourth with a new SB of 54.43.
  15. FAST WITH HER SECOND OF THE GAME!! restore their two goal lead and are now up 3-1 over
  16. Canadian squad for World Athletics Relays has been announced. No athlete by event specifics yet however. All of the big names will be there. https://www.cbc.ca/amp/1.7170802
  17. has qualified their first athlete in weightlifting (men’s +102kg) via Ali Rubaiyawi through the Olympic Rankings!
  18. lead 2-1 after the 1st period.
  19. Svensson scores… 2-1 over with 8:30 left in the 1st period.
  20. Stacey scores! 2-0 over
  21. Fast!! 1-0 over just two and a half minutes in!
  22. Rooting for to qualify here so that @CCB won’t be as disappointed when Canada overtakes Netherlands for the final quota in women’s volleyball (… just kidding, I still don’t think we’ll do enough to qualify)
