  5. Men’s team quota for
  6. Tom Jones Memorial ended today, with some excellent performances. Jacious Sears clocked a new PB (by almost two tenths) and WL in the women’s 100m of 10.77, which puts her in firm contention for an Olympic spot at the USA Olympic Trials. More fireworks in the women’s 100m hurdles, with Nia Ali winning in 12.44 ahead of Tonea Marshall in 12.45 and Christina Clemons in 12.51. In the men’s 110m hurdles, Grant Holloway clocks a 13.10 in the prelims en route to a 13.21 in the final. Finally, in the men’s 200m, Courtney Lindsey with a new WL of 19.88 took the win.
  7. Heather Bansley/Sophie Bukovec through to the semifinals at the Guadalajara Challenge, including a big straight sets win over #1 seeds Huberli/Brunner in the round of 16!
  8. Canada is going for gold at the Women’s Worlds after a 4-0 victory over Czech Republic. How surprising
  9. GSOC Players Championships Finals Men Team Retornaz v. Team Gushue Women Team Tirinzoni v. Team Wrana On the women’s side, it’s a first victory for Team Tirinzoni over Team Homan in six attempts this season. Rachel Homan (who along with her team finishes 67-7 on the season), vying for a career grand slam will have to wait another year after giving up a steal to Team Tirinzoni in the 8th end. Take a look at this shot by Homan for two in the 6th though. Stealing for the win was a trend in the women’s games tonight, with Team Gim giving up a steal in the 8th to defending champions Team Wrana after coming up just short on the draw (it even came down to a measure) Can’t seem to find a clearer video of Gim’s final shot and the measure so it’ll have to do for now. On the men’s side, Team Retornaz were down by two to Team McEwen after the 7th end, but were on fire in the 8th and Retornaz with a great double for three advanced them to the final. In the other game, Bruce Mouat with a game saver in the 7th drawing against five Gushue rocks (They missed a couple in a row before that) to score the single and tie up the game but was unable to apply any pressure in the extra end.
  10. Bunch of big swims at the TYR Pro Swim Series San Antonio today. 57.74 for Regan Smith in the women’s 200m backstroke, 53.08 for Hubert Kos in the men’s 100m backstroke (new PB), 2:08.18 and 2:08.40 in the men’s 200m breaststroke for Matt Fallon and Leon Marchand, and 2:19.89 for Kate Douglass in the women’s 200m breaststroke
  11. Summer McIntosh 2:08.19 in the women’s 200m individual medley!
  12. GSOC Players Championships Semifinals Men Team Retornaz v. Team McEwen Team Mouat v. Team Gushue Women Team Homan v. Team Tirinzoni Team Wrana v. Team Gim
  13. Damn really? Are we long lost twins or something?
  14. Valerie Allman could throw 80m+ if she competed there, the wind was ridiculous
  15. Monte Carlo Masters is on right now. Both semifinals resulted in upsets, with Ruud defeating Djokovic 6-4, 1-6, 6-1 and Tsitsipas “defeating” * Sinner 6–4, 3-6, 6-4 in a very controversial match (Wasn’t the only point in which the umpire/linesman made a mistake, but a key one was when Tsitsipas was serving down 1-3 40-AD. Tsitsipas faulted on his first serve, then on his second serve he faulted again, but it was called in. They missed the call, so Sinner played the point and ended up losing it. Sinner had cramps throughout the match, that point got into his nervous system, which really impacted his play with Tsitsipas holding serve and reeling off the next four games after that)
