  1. I did a rundown on Team Canada club a couple of minutes ago, compared to Worlds (up until this point) Neugebauer’s lead is 78 compared to 96. But yeah, could’ve taken advantage of that.
  2. OK, so I just looked did some calculations comparing the Olympics from last years World Championships. Much closer than I thought. 2023 Worlds - 100m - Warner 10.32 (1018) / Neugebauer 10.69 (931) Long Jump - Neugebauer 8.00m (1060) / Warner 7.77m (1002) Shot Put - Neugebauer 17.04m (916) / Warner 15.03m (792) After 3 Events: Warner 2812, Neugebauer 2907, or a 96 point gap. Olympics - 100m - Warner 10.25 (1035) / Neugebauer 10.67 (935) Long Jump - Neugebauer 7.98m (1056) / Warner 7.79m (1007) Shot Put - Neugebauer 16.55m (885) / Warner 14.45m (756) After 3 Events: Neugebauer 2876, Warner 2798, or a 78 point gap.
  3. He said he’s in great form according to Devin, so you can see how it might be disappointing.
  4. Ta-Lou And looks like Fraser-Pryce is back!
  5. Neugebauer looking like he’s already won decathlon gold…
  6. Is that good? Never mind, maybe that was a stupid question.
  7. 110m hurdles portion of the decathlon can’t come soon enough
  8. 79.93m, easily through to the final for Katzberg!
  9. Have to admit, with the season she’s been having this isn’t too surprising to me… just didn’t think it would be in the heats
  10. 10.95 New NR for Leduc
  11. “In Lane 2, representing Singapore, Alessandra Gasparelli” ?
  12. One of those days I just can’t stop making mistakes today
  13. 10.92 for Neita ahead of Jefferson in 10.96. Takacs with a new NR of 11.10!
  14. 11.27 for Jacqueline Madogo in the heats of the women’s 100m, unfortunately just 0.01 shy of a Q but a solid time for her.
  15. If you’re talking about Warner, he’s well off his Tokyo marks so far so I wouldn’t consider it an excellent start for him. Neugebauer is right around his PB’s though, glad I picked him as the gold medal winner on my prediction contest.
  16. Relaxed 10.94 opener for Richardson in the women’s 100m heats
  17. It’s not all about that though, it’s about how strong athletes are in each event. Let’s say Kaul is middle of the standings after the first day, he would have a really good chance at getting on the podium because he has a much stronger second day. Neugebauer has been right around his PB in his first two events, while Warner is a fair bit off his marks in Tokyo (10.12, and 8.24m) I think 8950+ will be enough for gold, so he’ll really need to improve on at least a couple of his Tokyo marks if he’ll want to contend for gold.
  18. Damian Warner only with 7.79m in the long jump portion of the decathlon. Yeah, that’s not going to cut it.
  19. Sam Schachter/Dan Dearing defeat Horl/Horst in straight sets and advance to the knockout round! First win at the Olympics for Schachter in two Olympic appearances, well deserved
  20. That’s not something you hear often in diving
