    It's purely down to quotas since alpine skiing is one sport where athletes can compete in multiple events so adding a team event is a freebie. Not so much in let's say ski jumping where team event was reduced to duets since overall quotas was cut down and only 2-3 teams can field four athletes.

    Albertville 1992 for sure. First three events were all female and Dutch won 0 female medals at those games.

    It's probably the most popular winter sport given the number of participating nations (alpine skiing & cross country are way more top heavy with certain Nordic & Alps nations only). Tennis and cycling are probably somewhat more popular overall.

    Btw, Dorothea Wierer is only the 2nd female biathlete to win medals at four OG (Uschi Disl won medals at five).
