  1. So Marc Brys has been fired as manager but refused to accept it and called up his own squad and there are two squads for the tournament?
  2. Aicher takes the lead by 0.24!
  3. Vonn still goes faster than Goggia by 0.05...
  4. Kink and Leinamo in synchro tumble on the corner.
  5. Bened only missed Baserga by 0.4 with Jeanmonnot still to come.
  6. Brignone is the oldest female World Cup winner at 34 years & 8 months (La Thuile Super G last season) so Vonn will beat that record by 6 years & 6 months Magdalena Egger goes 2nd out of nowhere...
  7. Vonn still owns the gliding & speed courses
  8. Yeah, a complete failure all around. Only two individual quotas for men and two for women + mixed relay. Cortina looks like a big fat zero in the medal table tbh.
  9. They have a serious technical issue this year - no 5 seconds beeper and Ashley Hugill just got hosed by it.
  10. FIFA will most likely remain FIFA though. This trend of 'World Whatever' is downright stupid and laughable.
  11. It's all hogwash especially in the short attention span generation. Like nobody cares about Free Tibet anymore either. Free Palestine will last a lot longer due to Saudi Arabia becoming a sponsorship force in sports. Israel is too weak in soccer to qualify from UEFA zone. The only time they qualified was from the Asian zone and they only beat Australia & New Zealand who were complete nobodies in the 1960s. No such luck in the 60 years since.
  12. Ah, yes but that's not how pro athletes are taught in North America these days? Shut up & dribble is xenophobic, racist or whatever? The hypocrisy of some of these policies were exposed during 2022 World Cup already where the Saudis played it smart and waved their own "Free Palestine' slogans. Forget LGBT rights for a moment, how many 'Free Palestine' flags will be waved in 2026? Or will those be confiscated by default? Somehow I feel this won't be met with similar backlash when China clamped down on 'Free Tibet' in 2008 OG. Saudi Arabia is more important to global markets than Iran & Egypt
  13. Wisła Płock just assumed 1st position after five consecutive draws. Must be first time ever a team on a five match winless streak actually moves up to league top.
  14. The problem is, the World Cup is not a local event. Overall it's another storm in a teacup. LGBT rights in Muslim countries won't change a damn inch becuse of one soccer match in Seattle
  15. Ah yes, 9x in Top 10. Just a perfect reminder why I stopped watching cross country except the Olympics. Looks like I won't be coming back anytime soon.
  16. The question is how many matches in USA are stopped due to the stupid "inclement weather" federal rule. Would be a disaster especially in the last round of matches. I hope Canada and Mexico are free of this nonsense.
  17. Host cities were assigned to certain groups long before the draw. Group J composed from Dallas/SF/Kansas so it should be final.
  18. Shades of 1998 with and in the same group but this time it's really a terrible draw for the Thistles. I recall Brazil and Scotland played in the same group in 1974 and 1990 too so that's quite a high probabiliy rate.
  19. This is the first time Joanna Jakieła shot 10/10 in the sprint (69th start at World Cup, IBU Cup & IBU Junior level ).
  20. What are the odds WTA/ITF has Kostyuk vs Potapova AO R1 just to see if the hand shake happens?
  21. Tennis update: Kamilla Rakhimova has switched to (her mother is Uzbek). More shocking is Anastasia Potapova switching to
  22. Shiffrin dropped the speed events and goes back to her peak dominance winning gaps in slalom. My guess is these two are not unrelated
  23. Maciusiak is sure making a case to be a complete lampoon. Nobody expected miracles but he totally broke Wąsek so far. Vets are one year older and now even struggle to make it thru qualifying (Kubacki, Żyła in Ruka).
  24. The host group is always weaker by design and basically everyone wants to be in that group to have a better chance of qualifying. That's a trend that goes on for decades.
