    Iran may not be a roadblock as Iran doesn't send its female athletes to many competitions (usually continental and world championships unless the sport is shooting, archery etc). Tunisia is good in women's fencing, hopefully they don't enter as African qualifying. They have got great infrastructure for fencing after Olympic bronze in Women's Foil in Rio.

    Cyprus only had chances in shooting but they didn't win any medal. With 15-16 sports it's difficult to expect much, there should be 24-25 sports at least with few newer sports like sport climbing, skateboarding, beach handball, breakdancing apart from fencing, beach volleyball, swimming, taekwondo, weightlifting, futsal etc.

    I'm pretty sure that she has taken performance enhancing drugs in the past. There's no excuse with no injuries that she is lifting somewhere around 207 - 213 kgs consistently while she lifted 230 kg in Mangalore last year where she was not tested, a lift that could have won easily Olympic medal in 2012,and consistently have finished in top 5.

    I read somewhere in an article about athletics team at universiade which said the athletes surpassed the qualification easily. But not about swimming.

    Not a great squad, not supported by university or government, 3rd string athletes in all sports, many withdrawn due to financial problems, athletics archery and shooting is decent.

    Each category will last for 2 days meaning 1st to semis ( 3 matches) on 1 day and finals on the next day. This is pretty much followed in all European and world events. However Olympics, Asian games and all Asian events used the each category completing on same day. Wrestling will not be fun for now.

    If I had to pick the most impressive performance in archery at the European Games 2019, it has to be that female commentator in the Olympic Channel... Throughout the matches she kept saying about the archers' hobbies, favourite movies and in between she used to shout " Bhum Bhum 10" when an archer shot 10.

    Tonga, Fiji and Samoa favorite to compete for the Olympic Quotas in mixed team no New Zealand and Australian archers yet. Upto 21 medals can be won by an individual in weightlifting in Samoa (at most 21 golds) Not part of Pacific games but 3 golds each across Oceania and Commonwealth Championships across the 3 age groups apart from Pacific games. That's a lot though I think Stowers can win 15 golds

    Not really a fan of 2 day wrestling event per category... It was better to have all matches in 1 weight in 1 day, just for a match or two have to wait sometimes.

    Ni Xia Lin can participate in Olympic games as long as she is not bored She would be just over 57 when the Olympics begin, who knows she could be a real contender for Olympic medal in another 18 years time, maybe at the age of 75.

    Beach soccer will be shown in these games in Olympic Channel? And does anyone have shooting 10m air rifle men event, was hoping to watch the Israeli athlete win, missed that final yesterday actually.

    Hoping for a vs final If Monaco gets the Olympic quota they'll become the 100th nation to qualify for Tokyo 2020.

    The Italian bid video was way better than the Swedish, they might have won it there.

    No they wouldn't i suppose, 16 teams would face off for 8 spots or the best ranked unqualified team qualifies like last time.
