Has anyone seen the outrage that fans are giving the ISU for its judging of the grand prix final in the ice dance? All three medallists ended up being from IAM teams (Ice Academy of Montreal). Many fans are saying the scoring was heavily biased and influenced by them and stated they will always make up a majority of the judging panel (They at least get 5/9 judges per event and can be as high as all 9 judges from this academy). So they will always give an advantage to their athletes as was proven with a deep analysis of their judging at the grand prix final. Anyways the backlash has gotten so intense that Piper has even written a letter complaining about the unfair judging as of late which has led the ISU needing to review their results. Even fellow winter Olympians have spoken out including Ivanie Blondin.

Sto cercando di trovare un rapporto di causa-effetto tra due cose piuttosto lontani: lo short track e la nazionale Under 20 nell'hockey maschile. E temo che ciò a cui stiamo assistendo nell'hockey si basi da quanto detto da Confortola. Non ci sono chiari vantaggi nel gareggiare in casa per noi: forse non ci era permesso allenarci prima qui nemmeno nell'hockey. E poiché era successo qualcosa di simile a Torino 2006, sono semplicemente molto preoccupato. Sono davvero scioccato dal fatto che le squadre di short track e probabilmente di pattinaggio di velocità non potranno allenarsi prima nei palazzetti di Milano. Sarebbe un handicap significativo rispetto ai nostri rivali.
