quite surprising outcome in the men's final...both heavy favourites (Schaar and Barros) didn't even make the podium...:yikes:

and another bitter 4th place for Australia, after they got the "wooden medal" also in the girls' event yesterday...

men's Final

Gold: :USA Heimana Reynolds

Silver: :BRA Luiz Francisco

Bronze: :BRA Pedro Quintas

4th, :AUS Keegan Palmer

5th, :USA Thomas Schaar

6th, :BRA Pedro Barros

7th, :USA Tate Carew

8th, :BRA Mateus Hiroshi

Well Reynolds is very talented so it’s a well deserved win I’d say.

I haven't watched today's final, so I don't know if Reynolds' win is deserved or not...but for sure he wasn't the guy expected on top of the podium before the world championship started...;)

Brazil has chances to Reach the top 10 in Tokyo thanks to surf and skate debuts

I think you're a bit too optimistic...to make the top 10, you need more than 10 gold medals...and frankly I don't see Brazil going that far, even if they could (easily?) win 2 gold medals in skateboarding and 1 in surfing...

Yeah, i dont believe it, just saying that its possible. We have good possibilities to win 3 or 4 gold medals at surf and skate and its super hard but not impossible to win 6 more gold medals in other sports.
