  1. That doesn´t count cable ratings, TYC also showed the game. So it should be higher.
  2. Ok, so if get it. In K1 1000 declines a quota. As it is the only reallocation in kayak men, it goes to the next K1 1000, which is . But also declines its host quota, so it goes to , which is already qualified, so goes to , that has too many kayak men athletes qualified, so also declines it and goes to . Am I wright?
  3. Per local news, Agustin Vernice (9° in K1 1000) said at his home town that he has qualified to the olympics thanks to a quota reallocation and it was told to him by IFC. https://enlineanoticias.com.ar/secciones/ciudad/llego-agustin-vernice-a-olavarria-y-anuncio-que-clasifico-para-los-olimpicos-de-tokio/ How does it work? I don't see it
  4. He just needs one of the british guys to win a quota and then keep the #1 non qualified spot in the world ranking. Not an easy task, but not impossible.
  5. I believe Argentina is qualified in mixed Rifle 10m, as the male guy who got the Quota in 3 positions has the MQS for both.
  6. Yeah, I put the sailing ones just out of respect to the defending champions and the sport (?). Racquetball and pentathlon I don´t see it, maybe tennis, but who knows. Shooting could be, but USA came with the full team bar Hancock.
  7. Late to the party, but just for fun some gold predictions. Safe bets: Basketball men, Basque Pelota x2 (both Trinquete), Boxing (L. Sánchez), Canoeing (Vernice), Field Hockey (2), Judo (Pareto), Rowing (M2-), Rugby men, Sailing x2 (Lightning, Snipe), Skating (Artistic x2), Softball (men), Surf (longboard men), Swimming x3 (Pignatiello 400, 800, 1500). Contenders: Basque Pelota (Fronton Cuero), Beach Volleyball (Women), Boxing (D. Sánchez), Canoeing (K2 1000, K4 500), Cycling (Molina in BMX, Soto in MTB), Handball (men), Karate (Y. Benítez), Rowing (M2x, M4x, M4-, LW1x, LM2x), Sailing (RS:X men, both 49er, both Laser, Nacra 17), Shooting (F. Gil), Taekwondo (L. Guzmán), Waterski (E. De Armas). I´ll go optmimistic and say 25.
  8. Why that? What about the other disciplines?
  9. The ones who should have a medal as a main and realistic goal: Paula Pareto (judo -48), Lange/Carranza (Nacra 17), both hockey teams. The ones who can dream with some hopes of it (a couple not yet qualified): Federico Gil (skeet), Lucas Guzmán (TKD -58), Delfina Pignatiello (swimming, 1500 free), Rugby 7 men, Maybe if the planets align (again, if qualified): basketball and volleyball men, tennis men (?), surf men (??), football men (???), another saling boat, boxing women and BMX men. Overall, it´s always between 3-6.
  10. Also, when the decision was made I don´t think there were real expectations that she would be doing potential world medal times at this point of the season.
  11. #3 in the world this season, behind Ledecky and Wang. And she is not going to Gwangju
  12. Agustina Apaza and Sofía Gómez Villafañe. http://www.ciclismoxxi.com.ar/el-mtb-confirmo-su-equipo-para-el-panamericano-de-lima/
  13. Delfina Pignatiello W 800m Free (8:24.33) in Canet, That´s a south american record. And she did it with her airpods on
  14. Only Del Potro, if he plays, but tennis starts the next day, so no.
  15. Isn´t there a continental qualifying championship? She won silver last year at the PanAm. I´m not saying she will qualify, but if a couple of american climbers win quotas in the intercontinental qualifiers, she has a shot.
  16. Valentina Aguado has a shot in sport climbing IMO.
  17. Don´t rush. Remember Toronto
  18. Epic game. But for some reason I think neither will make the Super Bowl.
  19. Pretty much agree with this. Not that confident with so many in athletics (will have to wait for standards) and swimming (right now we would have one swimmer with A mark I think) and I´m quite pessimistic about teams. Football who knows, basketball will be hard, handball is always a coin toss... I only see rugby and both hockey teams as sure things.
