We've choked in the past. This was not a choke, this was two of four exceptional teams going hammers and tongs - the matches between Ireland, France, South Africa and New Zealand the last 18 month or so have simply been among the best matches there have every been. Heartbreaking, but there's no shame in a one score loss in that match. NaBUru38

Sure, NZ defended superbly, but the game was there to be won by Ireland and, again, couldn’t do it when it was most needed

Being held up over the line and an astonishing last 37 phases where the difference. It was bitterly disappointing, but it wasn't a choke. Or else the word choke has no real meaning. dodge 1,024 Posted October 15, 2023 #154 Share Posted October 15, 2023 They didn’t score in the second period with 14 men. Taylor was yellow carded in the incident that led to Ireland getting the penalty try. There was 15 minutes left in the game and Ireland were one point behind They didn’t score again. In fact it was NZ who added 3 points in that 10 minutes.
