Karate WKF Olympic Games Qualifier 2021

Recommended Posts

Including kata into olympics rather than 4 kumite events was a hugr mistake. It gives a great argument to those who do not want to see karate at olympics.

Individual Kata will join dressage and sailing in top3 most boring Olympic events easily if it's the most , for me team kata was much more interesting

Dressage is my top 5 :] the most interesting events :D Still KATA better than golf or surfing.

How does this work. I guess top 4 will make it to the next round and then top two per group to the final round? But what exactly are these bronze medal matches that are listed on the schedule?

to determine the real top 4. two finalists + two bronze medalists advance to the final round robin

they will compete again in a new round, top 3 qualify for the Olympics.

Thanks. So that means the winner of the group will make it to the final round/top 4, and the bronze medal matches are 2nd versus 3rd of each group?

yes. the winner of next round

btw previous results don't matter. they have to perform a new and different Kata for each round. I assume they all save their best for the last round.

    • Interesting, for only 2 months i think i have seen some kind of coin from all of the big countries - Germany, Italy, Spain, Holland, France, Portugal, Belgium, Finland, Ireland and yes the 2 euro from Croatia. But some of them were the smaller ones, 10, 5, 2 cents.    Expectedly there aren't any from the smaller countries so far. Nothing from the Baltics, Cyprus, Slovenia, Malta, Andorra etc. But also a bit surprising i haven't seen any from Greece yet.    Don't know from what part of Italy are you, but it's safe to say that when summer hits there will be a lot of Bulgarians visiting Rome, so i'm sure they'll bring some of our coins to spread around.
    • I choose to collect only coins in circulation (and I have also found coins in circulation that should not be on the market; you can find a bit of everything). From my experience, it takes 4-5 years for coins to reach southern Italy, so I have no idea how it will work in Bulgaria. Incidentally, I am curious to see when I will see my first Bulgarian coin. I have not yet seen a Croatian coin (introduced in 2023!).
    • Yes, i saw that there are a lot of commemorative coins. But to get some of those, i would need to buy them, as i don't know how much of them are in circulation. And the chances of such making it to Bulgaria are rather slim.    Still, if i find some sports ones on a good price, maybe i will order a few.
