So, I decided to remake the qualification simulation for Skateboarding, after these announces from WS and using their Official Ranking(Without counting National Championship points yet)

Looks that we will not have any African country participating at Park Competitions and, perhaps, also at Women's Street.

Also, Looks WS will not count Continental Championships anymore, even after European and Oceanian events had already taken place.

Then, those are the changes:

Men's Street: No big changes, only the position of few skaters on the ranking

Women's Street: Changes on their positions on the ranking. And :BEL loses two possible quotas, :FRA loses one. In their places :ITA:AUT and :THA get one each. :CAN gets one quota for no African Nation.

Men's Park: :CAN gets one quota for no African Nation.

Women's Park: :CHI gets one quota for no African Nation.

Oh, these look very good. The street area has a lot of diversity in terms of features. That will create a great comp hopefully.

The question now... What are they going to do with the three quotas direct from Worlds?

I believe they will just use the ranking to fill all the 20 quotas

Meaning that Dew Tour is the only event left for the park ranking?

If your theory is correct that would put Glifberg pretty close to the Olympics

Yes, Dew Tour will be the last event.

Yes, he is close, but right now, if we consider the points from national championships, there are other skateboarders in a better position than him. Including another Danish, Dannie Carlsen.

As usual WS is a big mess, they took off the points from continental championship and decided adding national points separately.

Glifberg was third in Danish Championship, this result is disturbing his way to Tokyo.

That's pretty weird. Media has given Glifberg some decent attention and he has mentioned that 33rd place himself (the rankings without nationals). But I guess if it's the federation that's a mess the skaters may not be aware of that detail.

    • It may also be that Ceccerelli saw that the conditions in the Italian youth teams were very poor and that is why she insisted on setting up her own team (the results of young Italian skiers unfortunately confirm this). A private team will always be better than a team with 10-12 skiers with max. 3-4 coaches, a one doctor and a physiotherapist. Colturi is the only skier in her team and she has several coaches, a masseur, a doctor etc. Of course, it costs money, but since the parents are famous and have money + Red Bull got involved. I don't understand why she can't start for Italy again? Red Bull should care more that Colturi starts in Cortina under the Italian flag than the Albanian one + Red Bull, as a brand, always has a bigger sales market in Italy with a population of 60 million than in small Albania. I hope that this can still be reversed by next year. For this we need talks between the federation + Colturi's parents + Red Bull + possibly the Italian Olympic Committee. Colturi may be a skier equal to Brignone or even better in the future. We can't lose her, so we have to do now!
    • I`m very disappointed with this weekend. Only becouse of Ghiotto form I`m happy. Unfortunately, the women's team will not function well if Lollobrigida skips most of the training camps and Fontana starts alternately in short tack and long track. It will end with her not winning any medals here or there, because it`s already clear that it will be very difficult to achieve good results in long track. I hope that she understands this, because in short track she has a real chance of winning medals in the women's relay and the mixed relay but in long track not.
    • Tragic performance of the Italian women's team - last place and probably something bad happened at the start. There are so few starts in the team that it will be a problem to even qualify for the World Championships - 8 best teams. After Lollobrigida's return and Fontana's addition, I was counting on much more, but it seems that there are too few joint trainings. With individual quality, we have no right to lose to the Czechs without Sablikova, or anonymous Korea. And unfortunately this start will count for a lot, because there are only 2 more and our chances of playing at the World Championships are minimal. In my opinion with Fontana going from Short Track to Long Trackand vice versa, we won't be much use in the team. Here great teamwork is needed, not improvisation. As of today, there is very little chance that we will qualify the women's team for the games.
    • men advanced to Division A for the first time since 2018 (when they went 1-8). Don't expect much progress next year
    • Ok, but there we are talking about a person who has parents from different countries. Colturi has nothing to do with Albania.
    • There are few people here from Austria, Switzerland, Norway and Finland.
    • The worst editions in XXI century for us were Vancouver: 5 medals (only 1 gold for Razzoli's on the penultimate day) and Sochi: 8 medals (but no gold). Turin was already a prelude to this bad period, although the number of gold medals was ok. Overall we won fewer medals at home than in 2002 and this was probably the only case in the 21st century when the host country won fewer medals at home than 4 years earlier, either in summer or winter. In general the years 2008-2016 were very bad in our sport, both in summer and winter. Only 2018 in Korea was a slight rebuild + 2 fantastic summer editions in Tokyo and Paris. in Beijing 2022 we won a lot of medals - 17 but only 2 gold (If it weren't for Gogga's injury, I think it would have been 4 gold).
    • Totallympics had  users at one point, but I haven't seen any hanging around in a while.
    • In terms of total medals, yes. In terms of golds, I’d be fine with anywhere from 6-8.   @intoronto you don’t think we’ll do better or at least the same? Bit surprising.
    • Tadeucci was very good and took bronze
