In free style only three quota remaining, all are heavy weight categories, 86, 97 & 125. And all categories in women. We have to get atleast one quota each in these two. Can we get it?

looks hard. But still hopes on...Loosing 2 good wrestlers in women is a great loss. I don't think we are strong in heavy weight freestyle.

So India has only 1 GR wrestler for the Olympics....That too was a surprise.. All the best. Hope we have a better day tom.

loosing geeta is not the end of the world ...but babita I feel was someone who could have qualified so a great pity ..................... let us hope for Vinesh and Jyoti ................. In the heavy freestyle some hope for satyawrat ..............

Indian Juniors are doing extremely well as per the IAAF records . The following are the Indians in the top 10 world leading juniors ( Under 20 ) for 2016 

 

High Jump - Tejaswin -   9th - 2.17

Triple Jump - Sonu Kumar - 9th - 15.83 

800m - Beant Singh -10th - 1:48:51

Javelin - Neeraj Chopra - 1st - 82.23 

4*400 - Tamil Nadu Junior - 9th - 3:14:19

 

amongst the women 

lili thomas is 11th in the womens 1500
