Hi @Prashanth, @Dolby, @Fly_like_a_don, @nitinsanker do you have any news among the unqualified athletes who are in/out of ranking list such as Hima Das, Vismaya Koroth, Muhammad Anas, Jinson Johnson, Siddhanth Thingalaya etc, which tournaments are they targeting. Are they looking at National events like Grand Prix (15 Jun) and Nationals (25 Jun) or there any international events.

Many of the runners shall be participating in World Relays on 1-2 May in Poland

Yes except Siddharth all are for these. Turkish competitions I don't think so there are any happening. So world Relays and national meets.

I did see some asian atheletics tournament in may .....but I presume it may be cancelled ....so then they may focus on the domestic events

Karan Singh finished 6th in his pool in Sabre event of Asia-Oceania Olympic Qualification and thus is eliminated. Top 5 fencers qualify from each pool qualify for knockout rounds.

Some over-enthusiastic person edited India 2020 Olympics Wikipedia page mentioning Pranati Nayak qualified in Gymnastics as 2021 Asian Championships was cancelled. She qualified based on results in 2019 edition. Can anybody confirm this

Tournament is not cancelled has yet. So need to wait for official announcement for further information.

Can’t confirm but my understanding is Asian qualifiers are cancelled and we will have zero gymnasts in Tokyo.

    • Oh well.  Plenty people say that once you get past the first flush of youthful energy it is actually better long term to have a couple of post Olympic slow years and then start building back gradually after 18 months.  That is how Chris Hoy ran his career.
    • World Relays for sure, this has turned into a great annual event.   Last Curling of the season, at a more reasonable time for us Europeans   First Speedway Grand Prix of the Season from  SGP - FIM Speedway - Calendar   Cycling tours from Romandie  and Turkey the illegally occupied Byzantine Empire.  The  Vuelta Feminina also starting.   And as ever Rugby League north and south.

    • Just finished with PanAm Weightlifting Championship. Looking forward to the first Boulder World Cup this weekend. The Relay Championships will be good, too.  Might catch some of the W 3x3 action, too. Unfortunately the Ft. Lauderdale Open (Swimming) doesn't have a good stream.   (Might go back and watch the Oceania Weightlifting Championship.)
