I think deepak kumars performance is very poor and the quota should be exchanged for either kynan or rapid fire vijayveer / anish ...... Aishwary us shooting better than deepak in 10M ... He actually shot a really good score in 10M rifle the highest but as an MQS player did not get a chance 

Arjun has booked his place in the Olympics for 10m rifle with this WC. No question of quota exchange there. 

 

Rapid fire shooters are in poor form the score is not good at all. One of them may qualify from here through ranking .

We are eligible for ranking quota only in 25m Pistol Men, Skeet W and Trap M/W. Skeet was a narrow miss. In Trap Men, we have to win Gold and hope that :ITA gets European quota, anything else is not good enough. In Trap Women, we have to overcome 350 point gap over :IRL and hope that :POL wins the European quota. In 25m Pistol Men, there are only 15 entries, 4 of whom are not eligible. So, out of the remaining 11 shooters (:INDx3, :NGRx2, :GBRx2, :EST, :BRA,  :KAZ, :POL) the one who finishes highest will get the ranking quota. There is an additional quota on offer at European Championships, so the one finishing second also has a chance. 

I was looking at mens trap today.... Top 8 positions ESP , SVK - who have already got quotas ....... Left are 3 ITA and IND ....kynan ....... Let us say Kynan 3-5 and ITA gets a place in Europe which may be likely would he win a quota ......

Nope. German has 900+ points. So, Kynan needs to win Gold to overtake him. In the women's section, behind Poland is Irish girl at 350ish points. So, we may qualify if we finish 4th and top 3 are Poland + ineligible and Poland wins European quota.

With the Indian Grand Prix and Federation Cup providing some qualifications and vital ranking, what competitions are athletes looking now especially the likes of Hima Das, Jinson Johnson, Vismaya, Men and women 4x400 m relay, Women 4x100 m relay (they are in 19th rank surprisingly) etc. Is everyone targeting the National Athletics Championship starting from 25 June, which is inside the qualifying period

    • I think Julia Tannheimer will continue to perform so well on the flatter courses in Ruhpolding and Antholz, which will suit her technique. Oberhof will be more exciting, the courses are very demanding, but quite comparable to the World Championships in Lenzerheide. That's why I'm really looking forward to Oberhof this season. Anyone who can cope well with the courses in Oberhof should also be able to run at the front at the World Championships.

    • Thanks for your predictions, they are very interesting.   But here it will be a different format. Combined events - pairs of athletes, one male/female will perform in downhill and other will perform in slalom. E.g. Team SUI 1 Odermatt plus Meillard.
    • Interesting (optimistic) predictions for GB. Don‘t See Them winning 5 golds (more than China and as many as Canada). I think 3 golds are more Realistic (Brookes + 2 in curling/skeleton). Especially gold for Bankes seems To be a rather optimistic prediction, given that Casta is 11 years younger and just beat Bankes.
