Please stop trolling/don’t talk about things you have no clue of/inform yourself before talking nonsense.

Thanks!

Sorry if things are not looking so good for your team last years as it was before, in times when Frenzel and Rydzek were at their best. In our small team there is even less to be happy about, Vid Vrhovnik, who was Junior World champion, had a lot of problems with health and other, meanwhile youngsters don't improve fast enough, it is going to be tough to complete team for Planica 2023.

All the German officials were perfectly clear about the situation before the start of this competition. Nobody expected a medal in women’s ski jumping for example. You clearly didn’t inform yourself about what the expectations were in Germany. Also I don’t really care about the situation in Slovenia and Germany should never compare itself to Slovenia.

Great, you don't have to compare the two teams in the standings of your home WC then

@OlympicsFan if you read carefully, I wasn't compared our teams, after all our nation is much smaller and budget much lower, that is why pleasure is much nicer during this WCH.

But since you poked me, don't be surprised, if at the end hosting land of next WCH will finish on medal standings in front of this years host, like it or not. ?

I understood what you said, but obviously you didn’t understand what I said. I don’t care about The situation of Slovenian sport, so there was no reason to bring it up.

Also please don’t act like a complete fool. You were trolling first, so don’t act as if you were trying to lead a normal discussion that I derailed. It is ok to troll, but at least be honest about it.

Maybe Slovenia will finish ahead of Germany in the medal table, but contrary to what you hope this doesn’t bother me. Germany only has to look at its own results and if Germany wins less than 1 gold, it certainly will be a bad result. In the end Germany did amazing at the last two worlds and will do amazing again in the future. A country can have fluke results in both directions. The alpine skiing worlds were a positive fluke for Germany and the Nordic worlds will probably be a negative fluke for Germany.

Then you are obviously overestimating your English language/logical reasoning skills.

    • ""The most important thing, in my opinion, is mental preparation" - Maria Vynnyk said this on Thursday after winning the first major gold medal; maybe this is where the secret lies. As you said, Ukrainian girls have always been strong, but not dominant at continental level; my conjecture is that the Russian invasion has made them mentally stronger, giving them that extra edge needed to tilt the balance in the final stages of a competition.

    • Does the CAS have the authority to address from someone who believes the judges made a mistake in a given discipline? Pizzolato's last attempt at Paris 2024, which earned him the bronze medal, was controversial, but what does the CAS have to do with it? Even if the judges made a mistake then, the result won't change and this isn't the only case where someone feels wronged with this in world of sports. Unless, of course, they have some evidence of corruption or something like that
    • If Pizzolato will to return, would it be to the 86 kg category, or the 94 kg category, like Nasar? In 2024, they were both in the 89 kg category, which will no longer be at the Olympics, but in 2021 in Tokyo, Pizzolato won a medal in the 81 kg category.   Of course, it's unclear what's going on with the rape accusations- personally, unfortunately, I don't think he was ever a sweet angel- he was accused of other immoral things also 10 years ago, but gang rape? I find that hard to believe... Besides, Moldova has appealed about his bronze medal from Paris 2024 to the CAS- the verdict was supposed to be in February. Do you know anything about this? Did they have any grounds for this lawsuit at all?
    • Ukraine won 6 gold medals out of 10 in the women's competotion  + 1 silver and 1 bronze. Where do they get these girls from? It's always been a strong country, but they have never dominated like this. I wonder if their training methods would work in another country and if their coaches have any offerts to job from other countries? However, there is a significant decline in women's judo in Ukraine, so maybe they have directed all their resources and money towards wrestling?   In fact, Ukraine dominates Europe as much as Japan does the world- they have the best school in women's wrestling. In 2024, Ukraine only won 1 silver medal at the Paris Olympics? So even domination in Europe doesn't guarantee even 1 gold medal at the Olympics. Although, of course, if Italy for example, can't even win 1 bronze medal at the European Championships, then there's no point in even going to the World Championships...
    • Sablikova started on the road cycling and just almost qualified for Rio 2016. Maybe Lollobrigida would like to join the Italian track team? She has the good character and 2 medals at the Olympics, one in winter and one in summer, would be a legendary achievement, not only in Italy.   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martina_Sáblíková
    • One Wiebes is worth more than the all Italian team with Balsamo/Fidanza, etc., that much clear. Even if the Netherlands loses its dominance in the men's sprint, Wiebes will win 2-3 gold medals in other events. Just relax, man.
    • I'm most worried about our women's team in the pursuit – we have a reserve squad, but not advancing to the top 8 is a shame. We recently competed with out 1 team and had not good in 1 round. It doesn't look good. And the Netherlands are already taking Wiebes to the track team and will soon dominate the Madison/Omnium as well. Balsamo and Paternoster haven't made any progress for years and the our women's team at the Olympics has little chance to win a medal. Italy might even win World Championship/European Championship gold in the years after the Olympics, etc., but when the real fight comes, the UK or the USA will always beat us
