LOL Taseva flops on the ribbon and is almost certainly out, as 2 Americans pass her.

Taseva not making final and Kaleyn underperforming. I'm sure Iliana Raeva and the other heavyweight dinosaurs must be fuming backstage.

Rut Castillo had the best performance of a Latin-American gymnast in the history of the Olympic Games. Her 22nd place finish is better than Brazil's Natália Gaudio's 23rd place at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Such a great job! Well deserved! Congratulations!

 

Ashram comfortably in 3rd even with mistakes is something that proves that she can beat the Russians. It will be interesting to see the Russians under real pressure for maybe the first time in 25 years.

She crumbled in her ribbon routine and also cabe in at the last moment of the clubs, but I’m proud of her after 3 failed attempts to be in the Olympics.

Unbelievable.  had a mistake very similar to the one that happened at the Pan American Championships. Too bad. It's a disaster that the only time we had two clean routines from Brazil at the Olympics was way back in 2000.

Disaster for . One of the most unexpected and shocking moments of the Olympics in gymnastics until now. They were fighting for a medal and now they might not even qualify...
