Nvm, I think I have figured it out:

1. :UZB Tashkenbaeva 40p (4)

2. :SLO Vedeneeva 36p (1)

3. :HUN Pigniczki 32p (2)

---

4. :JPN Oiwa 28p (2)

5. :JPN Kita 16p (2)

Qualified gymnasts:

:SLO Vedeneeva: 35+50+50 = 135
:UZB Tashkenbaeva: 45+45+40 = 130

---------------------------------------------------

Fighting for the last quota:

:HUN Pigniczki: 40+40+25 = 105

Maximum score Pigniczki can still achieve: 130

:ROU Verdes: 30+20+45 = 95

Maximum score Verdes can still achieve: 125

:JPN Oiwa: 50+18+0 = 68

Maximum score Oiwa can still achieve: 118

:LAT Polstjanaja: 0+35+30 = 65

Maximum score Polstjanaja can still achieve: 115

---------------------------------------------------

Gymnasts who scored points but have no chance of qualifying anymore:

Kita: 18+0+20 = 38
Kelaiditi: 0+0+35 = 35
Mailat: 0+30+0 = 30
Berezina: 25+0+0 = 25
Adilkhanova: 0+25+0 = 25
Fetisova: 20+0+0 = 20
Tuncel: 0+16+0 = 16

Thanks, I thought that they simply use the World Cup ranking.

  • 3 weeks later...

Loved today’s performance by :MEX women group today. Their routine is all about constant movement, and though it still has room for improvement, I do believe it was cleaner than the one from the “Farfalle”.

It will be a though battle in two weeks for the continental spot, but at lesst I hope the quota goes to them or the Brazilian women, as the Americans are quite overrated in Rhythmic.

I’d like to see Bulgaris finishing ahead of Russia in Tokyo, though I’m sure Mama Viner won’t allow it, probably throwing the Japanese team a bronze, which I’m sure in fair judging conditions they could achieve, even if Belarus is improving and won’t be likely to let go the podium without a fight.

  • 1 month later...

So, Ukraine finally got a medal at the World Cup circuit this year.

I'm worried about the upcoming Moscow World Challenge Cup, though. Only nine individuals are supposed to compete and three groups. This is the absolute lowest of the low number of gymnasts and groups I've seen in a World Cup stage. Even the 2011 Montreal World Cup, the previously least-attended event in the history of the circuit, at least saw 14 gymnasts attending.

If the Moscow World Cup really happens, then we could see the first-ever medal for Latvia at the World Cup series. We could also expect medals for Slovenia.

Probably not worth the risk competing in something like this a few days from the Olympics.

But even gymnasts who did not qualify, like the two Brazilian individuals, decided to withdraw from the competition. It's kind of weird.

Probably they just don't care that much at this point. It must be pretty disappointing not qualifying to the Olympics.

I was right. :d

First-ever medal for :LAT at the World Cup series.

:SLO Vedeneeva was absolutely on fire and took home 4 out of 5 possible bronze medals.

As expected, Russians took gold and silver in every individual event.
