Expand ABC7 is also reporting that one of Gianna’s teammates and one of her parents was onboard. The fifth person is the pilot. AmericanHero40 216 Posted January 26, 2020 #204 Share Posted January 26, 2020 This is unreal. He was my idol. I went to so many games of his. I was there when he scored 81 points. I'm really speechless. He was more then a player for us in l.a Link to comment https://totallympics.com/forums/topic/811-athletes-deaths-thread/page/21/#findComment-271078 Share on other sites

NearPup 3,112 Posted January 27, 2020 #206 Share Posted January 27, 2020 I was on a domestic flight in Canada, the first thing anybody said when we touched down was that Kobe had just died. A bunch of us, complete strangers, started talking about him and reminiscing for a couple minutes. We lost an icon today. dcro 1 Link to comment https://totallympics.com/forums/topic/811-athletes-deaths-thread/page/21/#findComment-271099 Share on other sites
Olympian1010 8,051 Posted January 27, 2020 #207 Share Posted January 27, 2020 LA Times has gotten rid of all their paywalls on Kobe articles. Probably the best source to follow at this point. “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. Olympian1010 8,051 Posted January 27, 2020 #208 Share Posted January 27, 2020 Even the stats miss Kobe “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. Olympian1010 8,051 Posted January 27, 2020 #209 Share Posted January 27, 2020 Some more stats doing justice to Kobe’s career: “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. Olympian1010 8,051 Posted January 27, 2020 #210 Share Posted January 27, 2020 This is true. Anytime you threw something away, put something away, toss something, etc. you say “Kobe!” (And then you generally miss horribly because we’re not Kobe ): “Sport has the power to change the world.
