Doping Cases and Bans 2018 Thread

Recommended Posts

I agree it's a little unfair to list him as Algerian not French.

He's completely part of the French athletics system and, though his parents seem to come from Algeria, he doesn't seem to have a connection to Algeria.

Unfortunately in this case the IAAF definitely say he opted to run for Algeria,

https://www.athleticsintegrity.org/downloads/pdfs/notifications-and-sanctions/en/May-Sanctions-List-FULL.pdf see page 10.

And I can't really overrule them. They make the rules...

MOSBAH Habib Athlete ALG M   Long Distance (3000m+) Doping IAAF Rule 32.2 (a)
IAAF Rule 32.2 (b)
EPO 04/02/2018 4 years ineligibility

so if MOH Farah doped you will say taht he is Somalian ??

This is slightly off the subject but Farah himself does not like it when people say he is from Somalia.

He was born in the capital of Somalia but his family comes from Somaliland which wants independence from Somalia

He is seen is this video with the flag of Somaliland.

IAAF is not the city hall ,they can't decide  /change the Nationality of people

this is the biggest stupidity of the history of sport , maybe the money is behind all that  , our federation should claims  taking them to court

:ALG has 0 dopers until now

things look like garbage so let's do the same : Phelps is German , Ronaldo is Japanese , Marradona is Ethiopian and Trump is an Alien

    • i'm triggered,legitimately thought kennedy 2.0 happened,just way more out of nowhere
    • Perfectly obvious.    Johnson = son of John Johnston or Johnstone = From St John's Town ie Perth in Scotland.
