Maybe this will calm Haase down (for a day or two), in the match where he gave the win to Paire he went at it against the referees again ("Why do we always need the same linesmen here?!?!" - small detail, it was his 2nd tournament in India in 5 years or so, and his first one in Pune) This is the same Old slot of Chennai open now named Tata Open... Place changed from Chennai to Pune. Tokyo - 2020 Go India Go

Wanderer 1,726 Posted January 10, 2018 #33 Share Posted January 10, 2018 Giorgi played one of here best matches in career! Nothing alike her, she kept ball in court, and had less unforced errors and less winners that Kvitova! Great win, and another winnable match against still not in form Radwanska. Petra's serve was worrying in this match, I hope she can serve better in Melbourne. Draw will be tough, but so called top 10 players are not such a threat. heywoodu 15,135 Posted January 12, 2018 #34 Share Posted January 12, 2018 18-year old Alex de Minaur reached the final in Sydney. What better place for your first ATP final than the city you were born in? Dude's on a roll btw, semi's in Brisbane last week, final now. If he wins, he'll be right at the door of the top-100 (101st most likely). Wanderer 1 .

Must say, I didn't have great expectation, especially not so soon after watching him in Wimbledon junior final last year, but he improved immensely! I hope Aussies will finally produce a talented player with proper mindset. Tomic and Kyrgios have been, well...
Wanderer 1,726 Posted January 12, 2018 #36 Share Posted January 12, 2018 Angie Kerber to play against Barty in Sydney final! Excellent line-up. It is so great to see Angie back! Hopefully she will be fresh enough for deep run in Melbourne too, but she does have hell of draw there...
Wanderer 1,726 Posted January 28, 2018 #37 Share Posted January 28, 2018 Wow, looks like Vickery wants to play for (her mother is Guyanese) "Vickery, 22, recently made known her desire to compete for Guyana at the Olympics. She is one of the fastest racing players on the WTA circuit, and is currently ranked 105 in the world, her highest ranking ever. Only last week she competed in the ASB Classic in New Zealand, bowing out at the semi-final, losing to number one seed Caroline Wozniacki. Vickery had a good run in the tournament, earlier defeating Agnieszka Radwanksa 6-2 6-2 at the quarter-final stage. Prior to that, she got past Veronica Cepede Royg 6-2 6-4 in the Round of 16 and Lauren Davis 6-1 6-2 in the Round of 32. thepharoah 2,405 Posted January 31, 2018 #39 Share Posted January 31, 2018 Azarenka Moves Closer to Winning Custody Battle for Son Victoria Azarenka got some good news in her ongoing custody battle for her one-year-old son Leo this week. A California judge ruled that Azarenka’s case should be tried in Belarus and not in California—that’s good news because Azarenka was previously awarded custody from a Belorussian court. But there aren’t any guarantees as of yet. Leo’s father, Billy McKeague, had just about two weeks to file an appeal, and word is that he plans to do that. As it stands now, neither parent has been permitted to leave California with Leo, and Azarenka refuses to travel without him, which is why she has pulled out of the U.S. Open and the Australian Open. Reports are that Azarenka plans to move back to Belarus as quickly as possible, in the hopes that she may gain custody and begin touring the tennis circuit with her Leo soon. According to TMZ, which broke the story, Azarenka still wants to have an amicable co-parenting relationship with McKeague.
