Joining this topic, i watched 114 films of 2024. These were my final rankings: Top 20: 1- Dune Part Two / 2- Anora / 3- Juror #2 / 4- Challengers / 5- Anyone but you (ik im the only one hehe) / 6- The Substance / 7- The Wild Robot / 8- My Old Ass / 9- How to make a killing (original title: Un ours dans le jura) / 10- Wicked / 11- Im Still Here / 12- Twisters / 13- September 5 / 14- Hard Truths / 15- How to make millions before grandma dies / 16- Rebel Ridge / 17- Maria / 18- The Apprentice / 19- Flow / 20- Civil War Honourable Mentions: Snack Shack / There was, there was not (armenian documentary) / Here / Kneecap / Hit Man / Better Man / Its whats inside / La cocina / That christmas / Didi Biggest deceptions: Blitz / Trap / Kill the jockey / The fire inside Worst of the year (personal opinion): 1- Borderlands / 2- Venom 3 / 3- The Union / 4- Godzilla x Kong New Empire / 5- Uglies Honourable Mentions of bad films: Y2K / Emilia Perez / Nightbitch / Argylle / Lee / Babygirl / Kinds of Kindness --- Oscars related talk: Im fine with any of the films winning best picture except nickel boys and of course emilia perez. In terms of acting, i preferred Chalamet over Brody, and im ok with Mikey Madison or Fernanda Torres for the best actress. Im kinda not ok with Culkin and Saldana winning supporting because they are basically lead in the film (especially zoe saldana), so i would like if Yura Borisov or Jeremy Strong wins it. My biggest wins of the night would be if Im Still Here or Flow win best international instead of Emilia Perez and if the scumbag of Jacques Audiard goes empty handed. -

the weather forecast was completely wrong... very nice sunny day in Rieti, Today despite that, "only" 59.71m for Daisy Osakue in the women's Discus Throw (still enough to win the Winter Title, in any case) later in the afternoon, the men and women's Javelin Throw competitions will close the Winter Throwing Champs down -

Been some great cross country races. Let’s hope the rest remain competitive and we don’t have too many meals being won by massive distances. The British commentators complained at the end as they felt it should still be 15km. Plus they think Johaug will stay for another year and do the Olympics. Is that likely? -
Without the fall I think Sundling would have won, Weng 2nd and Andersson 3rd! but wow what a race! -

Lordy, Slind has the worst equipment change in the history of all Olympic Sports, goes from medal contender to also ran in about 10 seconds. Then compounds the error by trying to charge back right away, instead of taking her time.
