What's up with the junior/U23 world champs' schedule? The U23 athletes have a sprint, distance race and a mixed relay, whereas the juniors get to race in a sprint, individual start distance race, mass start distance race and normal non-mixed relays...

U-23 races also count towards the basic quota for Beijing 2022.

And both U-23 and junior races count for the nation's ranking. Which is probably why Turkey is there with four junior girls, and Mongolia with two, Lithuania with four and so on. The fight is on.

Cross country events are on a Pay stream, unless you are in Scandinavia.

Nordic Combined & Ski Jumping are on YT, though, with one tiny disadvantage for non-Finnish speakers. :dunno:

Damn it, last time it was in Germany and all those races were readily available to watch on YouTube :(

Seriously, 18 euro for junior world championships in a fringe sport...idiots.

Impressive qualifying by Niilo Moilanen, leaving everyone at least 5 seconds behind him and only the top-11 within 10 seconds. Excellent 8th place for Jaume Pueyo :ESP.

DNF for Tuuli Raunio in the women's qualifying, that makes one worried when that happens in a sprint. Maria Iglesias :ESP made the cut by 0,03 seconds, cool. Meanwhile, the likes of Lithuania, Turkey, Mongolia all scored a single Nation's Ranking point per athlete, so they're not a threat for Brazil as of yet.

Implication being that Brazil is ahead at this point? :yikes:

Not yet, but Brazil will have a competitor in two World Cup races (finishing = points and finishing in the top-100 is enough for more than one point) and at the World Championships Brazil should be able to score some points as well, considering there are three athletes, two of whom might compete in more than two races including the team sprint. Until today there were 27 nations in the ranking, today's competition added Spain, Turkey, Lithuania, Mongolia and Kazakhstan. We can assume at least Kazakhstan will get ahead and stay ahead with the senior races, but that means there's still space inside the top-30, which is what Brazil needs to have a shot at qualifying two women for Beijing 2022.

    • I still don't know how we lost the match against Poland Can't wait to see the semifinals These matches seems very balanced
    • POL rather won’t qualify for a World Cup.   And we surely won’t qualify in a first stage.    So j just want to see interesting matches and my dream group would be:
    • With the IWF cracking down on doping, North Korea was already the second best nation before Covid. The three-year isolation does make things suspicious.   Considering the IWF is now testing them every time they compete (given their results), they are probably clean now. The IWF is on such a short leash that a scandal like this may kill the federation so I imagine they are keeping a watchful eye on them.
    • and  are the men's handball qualifiers from North America. Guess who finished fourth?
    • I was wondering who gave  team that push? ..it was you at the end  ... Karlos is the man (hopefully) to break this domination.   but if we did a poll here: Do you think  weightlifters are clean from doping or not ? ..what would be your thoughts ...I don't want to criticise any athletes or countries but the records are very suspicious
