Don't you know? It's enough to move a sport indoors, and then people will immediately say it's a winter sport.

Hard to call something a summer sport when it's mostly played indoors. More like a season-neutral sport, which should be very fitting in today's day and age.

But the sport is designed to be played during warmer months. Just because it's sometimes more convenient to have it indoors shouldn't be reason for some pointless new classifications. For a casual sports amateur it's still a summer sport, so who cares if it's different for professionals, who are a minority in a grand scheme of things anyway.

Ice hockey is obviously designed to be played in winter months. It was invented like that. So obviously it's a winter sport. That's what I'm saying.

I was not being serious  

 

It's easy for me: everything that's done on snow and/or ice is a winter sport, all the rest are season-neutral sports, some of which are mostly played in summer, some mostly in winter.
