naaaa...you should be a little bit more trustful to your youngsters...

just joking...but wow! that was quite a surprise by SVK...yesterday's win, I mean...

hopefully now they don't lose focus on their main goal and don't waste it all in the next 2 matches (especially the last one, probably the most important of all in any case, unless they can add another point in the standings aftr the game against the Finns)...

by the way, very nice match between Czech Republic and Sweden, with the Scandinavians being a lot stronger in the first period and the Czechs trying to comeback in the second...

in the third period the Czechs raised the pressure, but they couldn't close the gap, meanwhile the Swedes showed their killer instinct and took the 3 points in the standings...

p.s. I still remember the match between Italy and Sweden at the 1992 Worlds (in Prague and Bratislava)...we got one of the best results of our history (a 0-0 draw), but the shooting score was 89-1 for Sweden :yikes::rofl::roflmao::facepalm:

so, I'm quite expert in this kind of "humiliating superiority", at least for what concerns the overall level of play...:lol:;)

p.p.s. guess who was elected as the "man of the match" in that game?

yes! you're right! It was our goalie...David Delfino on that given day, to be precise...:d

This was not a surprise, this was clearly a absolute and pure miracle :d Man, even in our betting companies there were odds around 36.5:1 for our win

but I must admit, I was extremely pleasantly surprised by the performance, a total opposite of the one day earlier game against Canada. I mean, the team spirit and the will was clearly visible, the guys just wanted to win this match, and the goal of Samuel Buček (Undrafted player !!!!) was something I´ll remember for quite a long while.

Here the jewel live in our TV

it was something around 4:15 AM here and  it was clearly to hear huge enjoying explosions throughout the building here. I remember a huge GOALLLLL comming from my upper neighbors

but yeah, to beat the reigning world champions on their soil and stop their epic winning streak is a moment of pride for our hockey and sport. now hopefully this will not be our only brilliant moment, we still have the match of our tournament to play against Denmark, only after that game we will know if this tournament is successful.

Haha I see, well Italy was always considered to have great goalies. :d

Miracles do not happen every day :d Congrats Finland for the deserved win, but what weird and silly mistakes we did today is not normal, the 4th Finland´s goal ! I have no words, a "own goal" directly from winning face off, is something we really don´t see so often  also the 5th goal was pretty embarassing...pity with some better luck a point from this match was not so impossible to earn, but you just can not succeed against such powerhouse as the Suomis are with producing so many idiotic faults..but well, once again, we are still speaking about 18-19 years kids :d

all in all, we are back to our original and only goal of this tournament, tomorrows must win game against Denmark.
