Equestrian at the Summer Olympic Games 2020

First major team announced!

As I feared, Tamie Smith got disregarded. She is only the first, non-travelling reserve. :(

Dutton and Martin renew their already permanent subscription of the U.S. team places. Liz Halliday-Sharp getting selected is pretty neat, though. A former auto racer who took part at the 24h of Le Mans.

EDIT: As you can see, no team alternate has been named. And that is simply because there was nobody else qualified. Thailand will probably be the only eventing team in Tokyo which will not be able to make a substitution (if needed).

Kazuki Sado (Ludwig der Sonnenkoenig)

So... Both Ludwig der Sonnenkoenig and Chateau de Versailles are going to Tokyo.

Yes...

Also, Scolari is from :AUS Simone Pearce. Huracan is from :FIN Henri Ruoste. Ludwig der Sonnenkoenig is from :DEN Victoria E. Valentin.

Just your typical Japanese selection. :d Japan Racing Association (JRA) acquired all these horses.

Ahlmann won’t compete for Germany at the Olympics (in jumping). Another huge blow for Germany after Blum was already out. 3 world class rider for Germany who will miss the Olympics (Klimke also won’t compete).

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

    • I have reported this again and they said it should be fixed now, please let me know if you are still facing issues.
    • more countries added to the list of US ban    you can't travel to USA if you are from : burkina faso , niger , Laos , South sudan , mali , sierra leon ...
    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
