I don't care what people say, but Karen Putzer was just an amazing skier. How many women have managed to win men's giant slalom in Val d'Isere?

Don't be THAT happy, no replays from me this season...no money for es player and poop internet. But anyway, I'm hoping for good season. Shame about Santa Caterina. I know Bormio is Bormio, but man, Santa Caterina was a good replace. And still sad that they only run once at Saalbach

As you can see, a top-8 today (which she won't get of course) wouldn't even be enough because Killington isn't on the list.

Are you sure this isn't for men? Women don't race at any of these giant slalom courses. :p

 

Unless Dutch NOC doesn't want a female skier period.

This is all there is, apparently they didn't even count on Jelinkova qualifying being any remote possibility :p

Oh, and Marvin van Heek's 8th place in Val Gardena several years ago didn't count because 'the competition wasn't representative'. Our NOC is so annoying.

      There is a saying to never trust a Russian in gymnastics. Well, ex-Russian turned Bulgarian Elvira Krasnobaeva is transferring now to Armenia.   The "official" reason is for personal, family matters, but in reality it's most likely because she wasn't selected for Paris, which angered her parents. Even though she is only 16, had her breakthrough just this year and started making mistakes, when they amped up the difficulty.   Our Federation's President Iliana Raeva said today, that she received calls also from France and Azerbaijan about Elvira's mother basically auctioning her. Raeva mentioned, that Krasnobaeva was going to be a vocal point in the next Olympic cycle, but now she can hit the road and missed her chance to ever compete for Bulgaria, even if she wanted to in the future.    We are also going to make a new Group from next season. After the disappointment in Paris, 4 out of the 5 girls announced their retirement.
