Georgia (country) is hosting a World Cup with zero (0) home skiers.

Just another proof of just how irrelevant this discipline is.

Which is a shame, because of all the 'freestyle' events this is the only one where it really does seem to be about the performances. Not getting points for 'cool tricks' and such, just race down like madmen and the first to finish wins, easy peasy and clear for everyone.

world cup meaning Russians finally allowed to compete under their own flag, but somehow were really bad today in Almaty...

However Maxim Burov :RUS at least won the Crystal Globe in M Aerials, Laura Peel :AUS is the Aerials Crystal Globe winner among womens

    • There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)

    • I read the Olympic qualification documents for weightlifting. A country can have the opportunity to send a maximum of 4 athletes in one gender, but the conditions are very strict.
