Grassmarket 3,476 Posted October 18, 2020 #161 Share Posted October 18, 2020 What are the odds? Same crash takes out both Ecuadorians.
Grassmarket 3,476 Posted October 18, 2020 #162 Share Posted October 18, 2020 Dorothy Weirer puts in a guest star appearance at the Giro! Meanwhile, Rohan Dennis off on a solo run for the stage win. 45k to go & plenty climbing. Long odds.
Grassmarket 3,476 Posted October 18, 2020 #163 Share Posted October 18, 2020 Kicking off now with 10k to go, Dennis caught & riders drifting off the back - Fuglsang & Bilbao struggling. Nibali in trouble now, still 8.6k to go. Almeida now dropped, Kelderman & Geoghan Hart leading. Almeida still working hard to get back. Almeida still holding onto Pink though with 2k to go. Kelderman needs to do more if he wants it, just following his team-mate Hindley. Geoghagan-Hart gets his debut GT win, Almeida gives about 37 secs, but stays in pink. All the other big names lose time.

heywoodu 15,183 Posted October 20, 2020 #165 Share Posted October 20, 2020 It's Fernando Gaviria, who was one of the first cyclists to test positive back in late February/early March and now tested positive again, after riding around incredibly mediocre basically since he came back to action. . heywoodu 15,183 Posted October 20, 2020 #166 Share Posted October 20, 2020 Large group has picked up 5+ minutes already and seems likely to battle for the win. Matteo Fabbro is in it, which I find absolutely excellent considering I've got him to win today, but no Valter or Kangert and both Warbasse and Rubio should have attacked in one of the upcoming days, not now . In February it was Gaviria and his leadout Maximiliano Richeze who tested positive. Now Gaviria tested positive again and after 50km or so....DNF Richeze. .
