rybak 3,217 Posted August 27, 2020 #6 Share Posted August 27, 2020 Goffin - Opelka and Zverev-Anderson in first round! Giorgi and Lopez are in the draw, no Verdasco.

Federer91 2,793 Posted August 27, 2020 #9 Share Posted August 27, 2020 There have been a few disastrous Grand Slams for me over the years (as a Federer fan). But those were with results known and more so with the outcome. But this one is different, because we haven't started it. And for the 17 years i have watched tennis, i haven't felt so indifferent before a Grand Slam start. Maybe it's because of the many top player withdrawals, maybe the lack of fans and GS atmosphere, maybe the failed season so far, but it just doesn't feel like a true GS for me. And just when we have for the first time in how many years (decades) 3 players in the singles draws - Dimitrov, Pironkova, Tomova.
Monzanator 4,499 Posted August 28, 2020 #10 Share Posted August 28, 2020 Jon Wertheim from Sports Illustrated picks Osaka for the win. Fiona Ferro must be the darkest horse ever since she withdrew from US Open over two weeks ago Elena Rybakina represents Kazakhstan even though she's Russian by birth but we've seen this stunt before. https://www.si.com/tennis/2020/08/28/us-open-tennis-2020-women-seed-report
