The Challenge Trophy Final proved to be closely contested between both contestants.

But now is time to follow our schedule with the Bronze Medal Match between two great

entries: North Macedonia and Côte d'Ivoire

 

North Macedonia advanced to the main draw as one of the best

third place songs in the Group Stage; however, from then on, they

became one of the "dark horses" of the Contest.

 

On their part, Côte d'Ivoire proved to be Africa's strongest performer,

with only one defeat before the Semi-finals. Now they will try to add

another accomplishment: to finish in the final podium.

Indeed. Looking at who made the Round of 16, the luckiest ones were Cuba and Guatemala. Both of whom got crushed there.

 

Cuba advanced directly from the easiest Group E, while Guatemala faced Mali (also from Group E) in their repechage...

Oh wow. Actually nobody from Group E won anything during the whole knock-out stage!

 

Cape Verde and Cuba got eliminated in the Round of 16. Mali lost in the repechage, and then immediately in the Challenge quarters. Iceland and Taipei lost immediately in the lower bracket.

A total of 24 match judges, plus a reserve, have been assigned the task of adjudicating this match. The judges are each allocated a specialised hut which are located at various vantage points surrounding the arena where the artists will perform.

 

These judging huts can be seen in the diagram below with each cell representing a judge, known by an alias. Each judge will determine which of the contestants perform better either a technical or artistic mark, and thus award a point to said competitor. Scorecards will be revealed by blocks, after a determined number of marks are completed.
