Not much to see tomorrow anyway besides a hockey game. One medal chance on Saturday (though now I don't believe it because it's short track again). 

 

This might end up being Canada's worst Olympics since 1988 because at this point I don't see any golds coming.

I came here expecting Dandjinou to be a household name by the end of the Olympics. But I have not been impressed with his performances so far. Not just times, but in both the relay and here he just seems to give up and sit back. Wish Roussel could have made the final.

Canada is cursed at the Olympics. First it was so many fourth places now its impossible to get a single gold.

In 2022 despite only winning 4 golds Canada balanced it out by a number of surprise medals but we don't have that to buoy our hopes this time.

Worst of all, it's taken all the way until the last competition on Day 6 for Canada to finally get its first 4th place finish. 

 

I have to joke, because this team is a joke. In the 10s they couldn't stay on their feet at the Olympics when they were great. Now they just give up mid-race. Not sure that is better. At least Hamlin brought home some gold.

Well the positive coming from this is that it shows we will most defintely need a lot more funding from the government to keep up with the other winter nations

The thing is, though, the government knew that the sports organizations were severely underfunded, and they still did nothing. Not a single new dollar in spending in the most recent budget. The only way the NSO’s are going to get more money as if there’s public outrage, which I think given the online chatter, there is already a lot of.

I don't know if more funding would make Dandjinou not just give up mid race. Or Gallant not suddenly forget how to curl. Or an Australian judge to give an Australian mogulist high scores to hand in gold randomly. I mean, I guess if we start bribing those judges...
