You can vote for as many sports as you want.

I personally voted for 6 sports.

1. Ice Hockey - It's my favourite winter sport and NHL players will be back for the first time in 12 years. Will be must watch for me.

2. Biathlon - Always enjoy the unpredictable nature of biathlon and having the Olympics at a venue like Antholz will be incredible.

3. Short Track

4. Ski Jumping

5. Speed Skating

6. Alpine Skiing

I'm excited for Biathlon (as always), Curling, Short Track, Figure Skating, Ski Jumping and Skeleton.

In XC Skiing, the Sprints and 50km Mass Start, Downhill and Slalom in Alpine Skiing, Aerials, Moguls and Dual Moguls will be interesting too.

I voted for:

1.Ice Hockey...no need to add anything ;)

2.Biathlon, my favourite snow sport

3.Alpine Skiing, especially the speed events

4.Short Track Speed Skating, love it, fast and furious, great show despite the refs often ruining the experience with biased calls

5.Speedskating

then, I didn't vote for them, but I will follow with a lot of participation also Snowboarding (alpine -you know, the Italians on top of the sport- and snowboardcross -because of the show), Freestyle (SkiCross only, same reason of the SBX, there are few disciplines that are more spectacular than this) and Curling (especially the Mixed Team event, because of our great duo, of course)

anything else, it will be mainly about the Italians' performance

won't watch a single second of Figure Skating (despite a few Italians expected to do well) and those Freeski and Snowboard freestyle events with no Italians going for the medals

Once again, biathlon continues to be king of the forum with a 6 vote margin. Alpine skiing and short track follow with 10 votes each.

All of them, obviously :p

Besides nordic combined, won’t be watching any of that. Potentially figure skating, but depends on if Canadians are in medal contention after the first half

Beside the usual suspects, i am always heavily looking forward to curling. And then it always get overshadowed, because the matches are too long and are opposite medal events almost every single session. :wall:

3 hour matches and 9 hours a day is fantastic, for people who only want to watch curling and nothing else. But for people like me, who want to watch as much as possible, it's always a problem to get some curling in my schedule. Shortening the matches to only 8 ends and around 2 hours should be goal for me.

Normally I don't care for the winter olympics. But since NZ is a small force in Freeski and Snowboard Park and Pipe those events I'll be keenly invested in. Alice Robinson has fallen off at the wrong time in Alpine Skiing and her confidence is currently waning badly so will probably avoid watching it. I actually do like all the sliding events bobsled and luge in particular. Probably Campbell Wright in Biathlon a keen interest to see if he'll medal for the US there gain our loss!! But deffo don't blame him I probably would too being shafted by the NZOC. Other than that not interested in the rest of the events.

    • So, the gap between Shiffrin and Aicher in the overall WC standings is now 219 points.   The races left are: - DH x 3 - SG x 2 - GS x 2 - SL x 2   Could Aicher have a glimmer of a chance?    She'd obviously need to avoid DNFs, which have been an issue this year, but she could potentially lead the table after next week's races in Val di Fassa, provided there are no cancellations (the weather forecast is very good at the moment).

    • Last night, I had the privilege to see my first live curling matches.  The USA National Championships were just 1.5 hours away from where I live (not bad in a country the size of ours, and even more surprising since I live in an area where it rarely snows).  I got to visit the 'page final' (i.e. first playoff round), the highlight of which for me was Team Shuster vs. Team Stopera.  Team Stopera ended up winning by 1 point, but Shuster will be able to play one final match this morning to see if they can make it to the finals this afternoon (the winner of which will qualify to Worlds).  None of the current Olympians were there, having declined their spot in the tournament.   Got some free swag     These people would yell 'Peel! Peel! Peel' whever someone would peel a stone.   Got to see the measuring instrument in action.   And yes, Matt Hamilton and Colin Hufman had sleeveless jerseys on.
