Biathlon IBU World Cup 2025 - 2026

And what are we supposed to base our success in Cortina? On one man who can ruin everything in shooting? And that's it. And France has three or four man at a similar level. We simply don't have any approach to such countries.

Boe left, and so what? Norway still has 4-5 guys in the lead, and the best of them adds 30 seconds to Giacomel's time on the course...

Zero progress for the Italian squad: one Giacomel and old Hofer, and the rest at the bottom. A wonderful result from the home Olympics in Cortina...

Personally, I was hoping Giacomel would dominate the cross country on this season. Without that, he won't be the new Fourcade. Fifth place in the cross country is okay, but it's not enough. I don`t worry with his today`s 4 mistakes because a mistake can happen to anyone, but in the ski you can't lose 30 seconds to the Norwegian.

Giacomel is getting weaker and weaker, and his running is poor. Nothing will come of it. Without Boe, he was supposed to be the fastest skier, but he's losing out to the Norwegians and Swedes. The rest of the squad, apart from Hofer, is essentially colapse.

    • Honestly, it’s not very clear what is happening in Italy — anything could happen. There is extremely high turnout, and no pollster, politician, or newspaper had predicted it; now they’re all there throwing out data. No one has any idea why people voted, also because it was very technical and almost empty polling stations were expected. It will be interesting to understand whether this is a protest vote against the government or a protest vote against the judiciary.
