Alpine Skiing FIS World Cup 2025 - 2026

Looks like Stroltz won't be doing a last month miracle like 4 years ago. :d In 2022 he exploded in January and basically forced the Austrian coaches to include him last minute for Beijing, but this time his luck is nowhere to be seen.

France has already is a first pewerful in men`s slalom on the pair with Norway and they'll soon be more stronger in giant slalom. They're struggling more in the women's competition, but it's clear that their good work is already paying off ahead of the 2030 Olympics in France. And Italy? Today's best: Vinatzer is 17th. Ahead of us are skiing powerhouses, like: Finland, Belgium, Bulgaria, the UK:facepalm:Fortunately, Spain has not today in this group, as was the case recently in Madonna d`Campiglio:lol: And Cortina 2026 is just 26 days away. I hope we don't hold any more Olympics for the next 100 years, because the way we have lost another opportunity in the 21st century, after Turin, to develop our winter sports, is simply unimaginable.

I wonder if she'll ever get bored of this winning and just say goodbye? In my opinion, Shiffrin and Vonn's years of dominance have resulted in the U.S. national team having far more sponsors and funding than they did 20 years ago. And that's why they have these various Moltzans etc., skiers without as much talent as Shiffrin or Vonn, but thanks to good training conditions they can achieve good results.

Well, she is engaged and says she is getting married.  Maybe she will also retire if she can exorcise her Olympic demons.

Also I believe the freestyle lore in US has worn out in the last few years. Chloe Kim is still there but she doesn't compete often enough, Gu has chosen China, X-Games is also not as big as it used to be so here's Shiffrin & Vonn leading the marketing charge again.

I'm think, that Vonn's return will keep that Shiffrin hasn`t leaving on the next some years, as they don't particularly like each other. Another think is that even with all her some big talent, like Vonn's: her victorious return show more about the actually level- very low for me of women's competition right now. In the same situation in the men's competition, Hirscher, who is 5 years younger, than Vonn (I consider him to be on a similar level of talent as Vonn), couldn't even go the top 10 after his became in lat season.

For now, the USA men's team is in quite a crisis after the goodbye of stars such as Miller, Ligety, etc.
