it seems Teqball is going to be the next Jujitsu, apparently paying some money to OCA officials to include them in all OCA multi-sport events from now on

OK I know Qatar is financially supporting Padel (and UAE is paying everything for Jujitsu) but who is behind Teqball?  ! I don't think Thailand can do that.

Suspect strongly that the Sultan of  is behind Global Wushu!  

 

Another one is long distance & ultra triathlon.  There are literally millions being paid out in prize money to attract big name athletes from several sports, huge FTA TV coverage but seemingly no prospect of any profit.

 

And the classic is obstacle racing, which has effectively bought up the ownership of Modern Pentathlon.

The calendar for the Games has been updated on Wikipedia. 
 

Group stage, quarterfinal and semifinal matches in men’s basketball all take place before the opening ceremonies with the final match scheduled for the day after the Games opens.

Interesting to note both sports are also responsible to find venues to host their sports. No announcement has been made as of yet, so I have to wonder, are they are struggling to find a suitable location?

looks like the agreement is the international federations are in fact hosting the event, not the AG organizers, so everything is up to them to make it happen.

 

Teqball is now confirmed to have 5 events (singles and doubles) does it mean easy 5 gold medals for Thailand ?

 

Padel is not 100% confirmed yet. I assume there are still talks ongoing between the IF and the Japanese organizers.

This came out on the official website yesterday. Updated list of events and competition schedules in Japanese.

 

Padel and Teqball are on the schedules. Looks like two events for Padel and five for Teqball.

anyway technically there will be 32 events in weightlifting, instead of 16.

there were lots of talks about it, AWF once again pushed for this idea but looks like OCA rejected it once and for all. which is good. 

 

only total medals will be awarded in this sport as it should be
