Italy has the same record as in 2022: 4 medals: 1-2-1. For me, this is a failure. Zero progress. Sighel was unlucky, but he was in poor form here. Poor racing tactics and internal battles between Fontana and the rest of the team. This isn't how it should be. Sighel should be skating at the back and waiting for others to fall, not blocking Fontana from the front.

I don't give a flying fuck about the medal table. What difference does it make if, say, the men's relay was Netherlands-South Korea-Italy instead of South Korea-Netherlands-Italy?

 

I agree the short track team's performance was disappointing overall.

Fontana had a chance for bronze today if Sighel hadn't blocked her for two-thirds of the distance. The Italian team is stupid.
