Based on the numbers, it looks we're gonna have 7 or 8 active NHLers in the roster.

Also, it seems the NHL is also including players which aren't currently active (only 7 Germans played at least a game this season, not 9).

Yeah Stachowiak and Samanski are regular AHLers, not sure why the official sites list them as NHLers considering they never played a single match in the league

About half of the players competing at the Olympics will be from the NHL. From the NHL perspective that's around 15% of the league. No wonder they keep pushing the IOC for more advertising rights.

Gajan is a pleasant surprise!

Goaltending is really poor, but we expected it being our weakest link.

I miss Studenič, the whole affair around him was poorly handled, I stand that he should have been here, in other hand not sure what to think about the fact of having 3 KHLers in the team and Ružička being one of them ...

Other notable absences from my point of view: Kristian Pospíšil (would be great to have both brothers in the team), surprised Martin Chromiak not picked and obviously the main absentee: too bad for Honzek season ending injury :(

Let see. All in all pretty balanced mix of experienced warriors and young talents. I do believe this team can make the quarterfinal
