 teams seem to be getting caught in the touching rocks controversy, first Kennedy, now Homan, but we're not the only ones doing it actually.... having been made aware of it and watching the replay back Paetz on her last against Canada did it too.  (I know Kennedy's was far more obvious, and he was touching the granite so it isn't the same thing but still, Homan also having been accused for cheating like I've seen on many articles/social media posts when she barely grazed it...)

 

It seems to be way more common than people realize

Both Homan and Pätz potential violations looks very much like mistakes and not even that they would touch the granit, more that they might have touched the plate of the handle. And it happens in a natural movement without making any difference. If they touched the granit of course it should be removed just like burning the rock with the broom but as Said before, that is not cheating.

Yes, but since Homan is a Canadian team and the only teams that are pointing out the double touches are doing it against Canada, there's a lot of outrage online

 

Anyways most teams are saying even if you touch the granite they don't see why that would create an inherent advantage, not sure why Edin thinks otherwise.

If you notice you feel the stone is short ofc it is an adventsge but then you really would need to be 1. Very quick 2. Very good because it cant be easy to make the touch just as you want.

 

but it has been observed from  more teams the past years together with teams also have started to do hogline violations much more, exploiting that they didnt use sensors for a few sensors.
