6th place finish in the relay. Almost 2.5 seconds faster than this morning.

 

Douthwright with a 1:58.58

 

Angove (1:57.86) and Jansen (1:57.44) both with 1:57 splits. Cosgrove a bit behind in 1:58.64.

And with yet another Summer McIntosh gold medal, she now moves up to 9th place on the all time World Championship individual medal standings.

 

This was her 7th career individual gold medal which ties her with :AUS Grant Hackett and :USA Aaron Peirsol.

 

This was her 9th career individual medal which ties her with :AUS Leisel Jones, :ITA Gregorio Paltrinieri, :USA Regan Smith (who won two individual medals today), and :NED Ranomi Kromowidjojo.

 

She becomes the 20th swimmer to win a gold medal 3 or more times in one event. The others are:
