Nice to see  Ching Hwee Gan qualify for the 1500m freestyle final. The hosts will have someone to cheer for.

Shame for Angharad, looks like she's come down with the same thing as the US swimmers. I really thought she would be the one to break the fruitless spell for British female swimmers at this level.

Apparently these are the first men's 100m backstroke semis at a major competition without an American since 1908
