The entire ride and now also the entire behavior around and after the finish just feels...off. This is just so weird, it's almost like he either wasn't allowed or didn't want to win.

Del Toro seems happy enough, so maybe he genuinely did not have much today.  He certainly was not eager to go when Carapaz offered him the road.

I truly hope he didn't have any energy left anymore and he just managed to make it look like he was all ok (because he looked like that the entire way). Comments on the Dutch corners of the internet are....not positive, to say the least

It's just such a shame too.

Looked back at the earlier part & there were actually some Mexican flags, just not at the big mountain summits.
