Isn't 'making contact' the phased out part of the game in the analytics world these days? :p Padres got Arraez and it ended for them as usual, or even worse given they got bounced in the wild card round.

Yeah, batting average has declined every year. But the Jays lead the MLB in team batting average by a good margin.

Usually I would agree (especially if it was a close game) but I think it was the right call here.

1. This was only his 4th start of the year and he was already at 78 pitches when he was pulled. He wasn't going to last the full game.

2. As mentioned above, it was already a blowout at the time. It's the bullpens fault for somewhat allowing the Yankees to come back in the game.

3. If necessary, he can pitch in Game 5

1-ok, but wait at lrast for the first hit to come (or the pitch count to go up towards the 90/100 pitches)

2-I agree, but being used to the Dodgers bullpen, I'm always for the starter to go as deep as possible

3-I hope there's no gm 5, but it's a good consideration

now, back to KBO's wild card game 😁

Blue Jays won the first two games in Seattle but gave up five runs in the 8th of Game 5 and Mariners lead the ALCS 3-2.

Meanwhile Brewers are set to be swept by the Dodgers :coffee:
